Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids makes a statement regarding Drake's Iceman album title.

"Might not be the best time to name an album Iceman. Respectfully."

This comes after an ICE officer fatally shot a woman on Jan. 7 in south Minneapolis. The FBI is investigating the shooting. Witnesses say they saw a Honda Pilot blocked by multiple federal agents, and an ICE agent tried to open the driver's side door.

The woman in the car put her vehicle into reverse, then into drive. Then shots were reportedly fired.

Fetty Wap reveals how 50 Cent and Coi Leray helped him while he was in prison.

During his first interview with The Breakfast Club on Friday (Jan. 9) since being released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Sandstone, Minn. on Jan. 7, Fetty opened up about which rappers were there for him while behind bars. He named several artists, including Chief Keef and Albee Al, while going into detail about what Fif and Coi did for him.

“Coi, she actually helped me out with a record,” Fetty says of the 2023 track “1738.” “I had put out an album called King Zoo. She featured on the record. She did a whole TikTok thing for me. And she just did it off the love… Things like that, I don’t even know how to thank her for that because she didn’t have to do that.”

As for 50, he offered Fetty help in many ways. “Man, 50, I don’t know where to start with him. 50 did a lot for me. From day one, it was like he reached out, like, ‘Yo, whatever you need, just holla at me.’… Whatever I needed he was right there. He answered the phone. He didn’t shy off… As far as financial and mental help, he was probably there the biggest.”

Fetty Wap previously discussed the rappers like 50 and Coi that were supporting him while locked up during his first prison interview with XXL in 2023.

Fetty Wap has been released from prison, but he will reportedly be on home confinement until later this year.

News broke that the New Jersey rapper was free on Thursday (Jan. 8), after a video surfaced showing him in a meeting at his label, 300 Entertainment. According to CNN, the "Trap Queen" rapper was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Sandstone, Minn., on Wednesday (Jan. 7), and will spend the rest of his sentence on community confinement overseen by the Bureau of Prisons Philadelphia Residential Reentry Management Office.

Federal Bureau of Prisons records list the end of Fetty's home confinement as Nov. 6, 2026. XXL has reached out to Fetty Wap's team for comment.

Fetty Wap, born Willie Maxwell, was freed after serving over three years of his 72-month sentence for conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances related to a multi-state drug trafficking operation. He released a statement to XXL about the new chapter in his life.

“I want to thank my family, friends, and fans for the love, prayers, and continued support—it truly means everything to me," the statement reads. "Right now, my focus is on giving back through my community initiatives and foundation, supporting at-risk young children by expanding access to education, early tech skills, and vision care for young kids and students so they can show up as their best selves. I’m committed to moving forward with purpose and making a meaningful impact where it matters most.”

Fetty Wap's latest album, King Zoo, was released in 2023.

UPDATE (Jan. 9):

Boosie's attorney, Meghan Blanco, has released the following statement to XXL about Boosie's sentence:

"Mr. Hatch was sentenced to time served, in addition to three years of supervision and 300 hours of community service. The resolution brings a sense of relief, allowing him to finally put this chapter behind him. He can now focus on continuing his music career, dedicating time to his family, and being a positive and inspiring presence for his children and the wider community."

ORIGINAL STORY (Jan. 9):

A judge has reportedly ruled that Boosie BadAzz will not serve any prison time for a federal gun charge.

On Friday (Jan. 9), the Louisiana rapper appeared in a California federal courtroom to learn his fate, after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm last summer. Ahead of the sentencing, prosecutors recommended a 24-month sentence followed by three years of supervised release.

According to legal affairs reporter Meghann Cuniff, the judge sentenced Boosie to time served and three years of supervised release. Additionally, he will have to pay a $50,000 fine.

Before he was sentenced, Boosie shared videos on social media of himself preparing to enter court. He was decked out in a vibrant blue suit and rocking an expensive AP watch.

"Let's Get It!" he captioned the post.

The case originated from Boosie being booked in San Diego in 2023. Following a traffic stop, police discovered multiple fi****ms in his car after seeing a gun in his waistband on Instagram Live. The case was dropped by local officials and picked up by the feds.

After a federal judge dismissed the case last July, prosecutors refiled the charges. Last August, Boosie decided to accept a plea deal in the case and has been awaiting sentencing.
