Congrats to our Talent Acquisition MVP, Melinda, a Recruiter for Operations & Technology. Not only is Melinda a pro at her job, she's currently crushing it while working from home with her family of six. She tells us that adapting to the new normal is all about finding balance. "Everyday is different with two sets of twins. I spend time with my kids at their work/play station aka our dining room in the AM and when they’re done with school, I try to go into my office and spend the rest of the day there. I'm lucky to have a great partner who's in this with me since this is truly a team effort. Overall I unwind by spending time with my crew and for wellness we started a family yoga challenge that we’re a month into."

Can you buy ABC Family Worldwide from Disney after they buy 20th century fox a year ago?
I am a senior at Santa Monica High School and during these times, we have at home assignments to help us prepare and research jobs for when we enter into the workforce. My economics class has a portion of a project where we need to interview two people within the field we wish to pursue. Is it at all possible for me to electronically interview a few individuals within this program about entering into the entertainment industry?

The movie Five Feet Apart was excellent! Just be prepared to be emotional! As usual, the only “gripe” I had was that none of the actors who portrayed the patients who had cystic fibrosis actually had cystic fibrosis. I wish directors would actually recruit people who have whatever disabilities or health issues that the characters in the stories have. But, nonetheless, the actors did very well in playing the parts. I have Spina Bifida and I’m continually disappointed to find the actors/actresses who are portraying people who are disabled aren’t disabled, much less have the same disabilities as the characters, etc. How can people audition and gain those kinds of parts? Also, how can I start a tv show or create a movie with people who have Spina Bifida (like the series on A&E “Born This Way”?
Looking at the internship program. But I think I may be too old for it. Boo. Still gonna look though. Kinda exciting! Wish I would've thought to look at this years ago!
