A 220-million-year-old tree turned into a sparkling gem!
Deep within Arizona’s Petrified Forest National Park lies an astonishing natural wonder: a 220-million-year-old fossilized tree, a relic from the time of the dinosaurs. This vibrant and colorful formation is not just a work of nature—it’s a geological masterpiece, meticulously preserved over millions of years.

The tree once stood tall during the Triassic period, when prehistoric reptiles roamed the Earth. After falling, it became buried in sediment, where over countless millennia, its organic material was gradually replaced by minerals like silica. This process formed the stunning petrified wood we see today, which glistens like quartz. He was in his late thirties, strikingly handsome, and dangerously ambitious. After marrying Elizabeth’s stepmother, Catherine Parr, he moved into the household where Elizabeth lived, and it wasn’t long before boundaries began to blur.

He would visit Elizabeth’s chambers early in the morning, tickling her, sometimes even climbing into her bed while she was still in her nightgown. Catherine Parr initially brushed it off, even joining in on these games, but soon the playful visits turned into something more disturbing. Servants witnessed Thomas embracing Elizabeth, cutting her gown to pieces while she wore it, and behaving in ways that could not be explained away as harmless fun. Elizabeth, intelligent and watchful even as a teenager, found herself in an impossible position: she knew she needed to protect herself, but she also knew how dangerous it was to cross a powerful man.

Eventually, Catherine caught them alone together and could no longer pretend it was a harmless game. Elizabeth was sent away for her own safety, and just a few months later, Catherine died in childbirth, leaving Thomas a widower and Elizabeth vulnerable once more. Thomas began plotting to marry Elizabeth, hoping to use her position to seize more power for himself. But his schemes finally caught up with him, and he was arrested for treason. During the investigation, Elizabeth was questioned for days, her honor and safety hanging in the balance, but she never wavered under the intense pressure.

Thomas Seymour was executed, leaving Elizabeth to carry the weight of the scandal into her adulthood. It was a defining moment in her life, teaching her about the dangers of power-hungry men, the necessity of controlling her image, and the price of trust in a world that could turn on her in an instant.

Every morning in Frankfurt, Germany, you might catch a glimpse of Jenny, a horse who goes on a long walk every morning, all by herself. She has been taking the same route every morning for 14 years, ever since her owner, now 79 years old, became unable to ride. She enjoys greeting all of the familiar faces along the way, and she stops and gets treats and pettings from some of her favorite humans.

The locals treat her like a celebrity and happily clean up after her. A piece of paper is attached to her halter that reads, “My name is Jenny. I didn’t run away, I’m just walking. Thank you.” But the police get calls frequently from people who don’t know about the arrangement. They are very familiar with the horse and the owner, and there have been no incidents in 14 years. A local veterinarian gives her routine checkups and continues to find her to be healthy and showing no anxiety about her unique lifestyle. 😍😇🙌🐎🌈🌏
