The studio name was coined during a conversation between Grad and Scott Aiken (Clouty, formerly Etta Place) while collaborating on Creepy EP. Grad started playing piano at age 4, violin at age 11, guitar at age 14, and bass at age 17. He started producing music i
n his Senior Year at Vanderbilt University (Class of 2009) and has worked diligently to self-teach himself engineering and production techniques. His main instruments are guitar, bass, and vocals in an eclectic range of styles.
