It's on KEXP! We're observing the February 7th holiday today in honor of our 10th annual celebration. Tune in all day long:
EARLY | 5 - 7am PT: Albina Cabrera explores the bridges between The Clash and Hispanic American post-punk.
The Morning Show on KEXP | 7 - 10am PT: John Richards will revisit how Clash Day began with the set that started the holiday ten years ago! The show will look back at great moments over the last decade including IDLES' 2019 ICD performance, Joe Strummer's last BBC radio program, and more.
Midday Show | 10am - 1pm PT: Gabriel Teodros and DJ Cheryl Waters join forces – for the first hour of the Midday Show, Gabriel will spotlight immigrant artists before Cheryl dives into 2020's programming.
Afternoon Show | 1 - 4pm PT: Larry Mizell, Jr. will be focusing on the reggae and dub that inspired The Clash and their contemporaries in the early days of punk, plus more obscure sounds of the era.
Drive Time | 4 - 7pm PT: Kevin will play protest songs from the Clash era to today as well as rare Joe Strummer interviews, Clash rarities, and activist songs.
