Composer’s Voice, the celebrated platform for contemporary music, proudly presents an episode spotlighting two dynamic performances from CAMPGround25, recorded live at TEMPUS Projects in Tampa, Florida. This concert brings together fearless artistry, virtuosic performers, and bold new works from some of today’s most compelling composers.

The program opens with Salsa al v***r by Felipe Tovar-Henao, a mesmerizing work performed by pianist Eunmi Ko. Tovar-Henao’s music blends intricate textures with cultural echoes, offering audiences a vivid and imaginative soundscape.

Following is Shiny Object Syndrome by Mathew Rosenblum, performed with stunning precision and intensity by percussionist Kevin von Kampen. Rosenblum’s adventurous sonic palette and von Kampen’s technical brilliance combine for an exhilarating listening experience.

This episode captures the adventurous spirit of CAMPGround25—a festival devoted to fostering adventurous musical voices—and the intimacy of TEMPUS Projects, a hub for contemporary art and performance.

Composer’s Voice continues its mission to present fresh and boundary-pushing works, connecting audiences with the most vibrant new music being created today.

Episodes of Composer's Voice air its half-hour show every 2 weeks on Saturday at 2:00 PM EDT (UTC-4) on NYC cable access TV with Manhattan Neighborhood's Network Lifestyle channel.

When your work is selected, that’s an important milestone—but it’s only the beginning. What truly makes the difference for your career is how you participate in the process that follows.

At Vox Novus, we see this constantly with Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame and other collaborative projects: the composers who stand out aren’t just the ones who write strong music—they’re the ones who stay engaged and connected.

-They thank their performers.
-They share announcements.
-They show up at the performance (in person or online).
-They support their peers.
-They keep the energy going after the event.

These actions may seem small, but they build your reputation, visibility, and relationships in the field. Performers notice. Presenters notice. Audiences notice. And that attention translates into more performances, stronger networks, and long-term opportunities.

Participation is about more than self-promotion—it’s about strengthening the community that makes new music possible.

In our latest article on LinkedIn, we explore:
-What “participation” really means
-Why it matters for your career
-Practical steps to take before, during, and after a performance
-How your engagement can open doors for future collaborations

And if you’ve ever submitted and weren’t selected, don’t miss the companion piece: “Navigating the Journey: When Your Work Isn’t Selected.” Together, these two articles give a roadmap for staying active, visible, and connected in the field of new music.

Being selected is an achievement. Participating is how you turn that achievement into momentum.

Your work has been selected. Now it’s time to participate! Here is how to do it well.
