LISA LESHNE has been in the media & entertainment business for over 25 years. Lisa’s previous experience spans the broadest range of the industry. In 1991, she co-founded The Prague Post, the largest English-language newspaper in Central Europe, along with its book division and website, PraguePost.com. Lisa worked in Prague as the newspaper's Publisher for almost a decade. In 1999, she moved to Manhattan to work in strategy and business development for Dow Jones, and was Executive Director, International, for WSJ.com, the Wall Street Journal Online, responsible for digital business operations in Europe and Asia, overseeing advertising, marketing, and circulation. Lisa also served as VP, Strategy and Business Development, for Ink2, an industry leader in the print-on-demand industry and the owner of Cardstore.com. Lisa worked for a year after 9/11 at the New York City Partnership's Financial Recovery Fund, evaluating grant applications and providing strategic advice to small businesses destroyed in the World Trade Center attacks. She previously worked for Accenture (Andersen Consulting) as a Senior Consultant in the Entertainment & Media Group. Prior to founding The Leshne Agency in 2011, she was a literary agent at LJK Literary. Lisa has a BA degree in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Literary Specialties: I am most interested in narrative and prescriptive non-fiction, especially on sports, wellness, business, political and parenting topics. I love memoirs that transport the reader into another person’s head and give a voyeuristic view of another person's extraordinary experiences. I enjoy literary and commercial fiction and some young adult and middle-grade books that take the reader on a journey and are just plain fun to read. Talent Management: I manage a select number of my literary and entertainment clients, advising them over the course of their careers. More at www.leshneagency.com

"Everything I was told should be my greatest insecurities and weaknesses, everything that I’ve been labeled—SHORT, NERDY, SKINNY, WEAK, IMPULSIVE, UGLY, TOMBOY, POOR, REBEL, LOUD, FREAK, CRAZY—turned out to be my greatest strengths. I didn’t become successful in spite of them. I became successful because of them."

Love this Library Journal review of THE ABC's of PARENTHOOD by Deborah Copaken & Randy Polumbo:
"In this gift book by author/screenwriter Copaken and photographer Polumbo, readers are treated to snippets of parenting wisdom in an A–Z format. Of course, “X is for X-ray” (“Accidents will happen. It’s inevitable.”). But there are surprising little gems, too, such as “C is for Cucumber,” which reminds us that “Once a pickle, never a cucumber again,” thus to treasure the fleeting beauty of infancy. Boasting a rich palette of colored pages and exquisite photos, not just of babies but of saxophones, ice cream, birds, and more, this would be a lovely baby shower gift. Verdict: Guaranteed to make any expectant mother weep." http://reviews.libraryjournal.com/2017/09/books/graphic-novels/nonfiction-on-parenthood-growing-more-vegetables-and-hip-hop-artist-gucci-mane-xpress-reviews/
