v12films.com I would like to thank Brian McLane and The Transparent Film Festival crew for firstly, keeping HONEST. The promised feedback, the communication was above and beyond--stupendous. In actuality and after serious consideration, we tweaked The Orchestration of Audrey based on some of the notes received. It gelled a weak spot. Thanks to you again! Hopefully next year I can be in attendance-- ya gotta love NY !
Excited for next weekend ! #nyc #transparent #filmfestival #comeseeourmovie #comeseeallthemovies https://tinyurl.com/y2r3ca6l
It was great meeting these guys at IFM and so glad they liked our short. As others have said, they have a genuine love of film. I could see myself drinking many beers and waxing poetically about filmmaking for hours with them. Highly recommended!
Brian is terrific and true to his word. He watched my short within 24 hours and got back to me with a thoughtful, intelligent, constructive critique that showed he really paid attention to my film in great detail. In a world where you never know who watches your film and how much consideration it is given in any festival(or even if they definitely watch it) it is great to find someone who really pays attention and clearly loves films and filmmakers. Thanks so much.
So many festivals seem to have forgotten that there are hardworking, dedicated, artists behind the films submitted. We never know how much of the film the festival screeners actually watch, if at all. Almost never do you get feedback, and some never even notify you that your film was not accepted. None of this is true of The Transparent Film Festival. They provided feedback on my film, Less Heat in Arizona that was so detailed, I know they watched every second, even the credits (yes, even got comments on the song that played during the ending credits). The notes from Bryan were spot on insightful and it’s obvious he knows and loves film, and even more importantly, respects the artists. Very much looking forward to the event!
