All music lovers, history lovers, lend an ear...

A bit of really old music - dating from 11th century. The music that was played for William the Conqueror, Edward the Confessor, C**t, and William II.
At the time, music was written in melodic outlines and not the notes we use today. Medieval music was shared through musicians' memories and aural traditions. Since these traditions died out long ago, it is nearly impossible to decipher music from this era, but this is a scientific guess as one could be.
Reconstructed from "neumes" (medieval symbols used to represent musical notation), the tunes accompanied poems from Roman philosopher Boethius' magnum opus, "The Consolation of Philosophy."

Did Trump Fire the US Pandemic Response Team?

"Who could have expected this?" Well, DT, the Ebola outbreak wasn't so long ago, and if you must have heard of SARS, etc, etc, which is why we need/needed a US PANDEMIC RESPONSE TEAM and SCIENTISTS, not jared kusher 'doing reasearch' TO PROTECT/SAVE AMERICAN LIVES. Got the point now?

As a new coronavirus spread in 2020, so did concerns about the United States' preparedness for a potential pandemic.

So the big morning shows are about equal in ratings these days..

As was true for the evening newscasts, the Q2 2019 ratings battle between ABC and NBC in the mornings resulted in a split decision. The Conditions of Love by Dale M. Kushner

Thank you, Dale M Kushner, for sharing this wonderful, and useful, piece about a legendary couple: “In truth, my husband and I were persons of “quite different construction, different bent, completely dissimilar views.” But we always remained ourselves, in no way echoing nor currying favor with one another, neither of us trying to meddle with the other’s soul, neither I with his psyche nor he with mine. And in this way my good husband and I, both of us, felt ourselves free in spirit.”

This is just so touching it’s hard to resist – and we could all use a bit of heart-warming these days, I think.

Some facts for anyone following the tweet exchange started when the President mentioned what a good writer he is, and author of a big bestseller:

Trump’s ghostwriter, Tony Schwartz, described the process of authoring Trump’s The Art of the Deal, revealing to The New Yorker that he wrote the whole book. The president pushed back against that claim, saying Schwartz was only a co-author.

The New Yorker quoted Howard Kaminsky, the former head of Random House, who said, “Trump didn’t write a postcard for us!”

Audio and SEO. Here's one example of its impact: " Better marketing and discovery of podcasts: If Apple and Google index and catalog podcasts as they do for text, images and video, the podcast discovery issue becomes less challenging. Podcast transcriptions are an expensive and time-consuming workaround to surface podcast content into the wider web. Google has begun incorporating podcasts into search results on Android and Google Assistant, allowing users to play and/or subscribe to the podcast surfaced in the search query.
