Ludi is more than a film about a young Haitian woman struggling to save money for her family in Port au Prince. It's a film about chasing the American dream. The interaction between the characters in the film is rich and entertaining. Set in the in Miami the film is good entertainment but also good food for thought.

A wordless drama exploring themes of racism and colonialism. A film difficult to forget.

It's interesting to hear the comments some AA actors have regarding how negative some AA folks can be in evaluating their work. Clifton Powell sounde really hurt in a recent conversation by the negativity of some AA folks when as he indicated they do not know how hard it is to make it in the film industry.
One subject he elaborated on was his real life and the characters he sometimes play. Some folks think is the mean person he's sometimes in films. He emphatically said that as an actor he plays roles that have nothing to do with his real life.
He's a remainder than film is art and that a good actor is a good artist.
ADIFF-NY 2025 IS GOMING! Some films are difficult to forget.

This is the country of quick solutions. But all in life cannot be solved quickly.
It took ADIFF some time to cultivate an audience responsive to the films that characterize the festival's editorial line. The support ADIFF enjoys and has enjoyed for years in and out of the USA is the result of years of hard work and dedication. We feel we have made a difference thanks to those who made ADIFF that moment of the year event.
We'll keep you posted.

The African Diaspora International Film Festival

Our interaction with filmmakers and producers helped us understand that for many of them, a film was the materialization of a need to tell a story. We thought we could help. The editorial line of the African Diaspora International Film Festival reflects the richness and diversity of the life experience of people of color all over the world.

The film scene has tremendously changed since 1993. However, the need to tell a story to the world remains. As we look at films like The Journey of the Lion, Stand Down Soldier, The Tracker, The Citizen, Otomo, Sins of the Flesh, Rosa Chumbe, Scheherazade, Tell Me A Story, White Lies,La Playa D.C., Tango Negro: The African Roots of Tango, Goodbye Momo/A Dios Momo, Mama Africa: Miriam Makeba, Gurumbe: Afro-Andalousian Memories and many more, we realized these are stories that have something unique to tell. We are still loyal to our editorial line and the pursuit of our dream of exposing those stories to the world. The readings are multiple in many of these titles. Therefore, the viewing is rich, revealing and thought provoking. Check www.AfricanDiasporaDVD.com or on Amazon amzn.to/2tGxkBz to discover some of the titles mentioned above. All titles are #FREE for #PrimeMembers
