Big news for New Jersey! Netflix just dropped the site for their massive new production studios at the old Fort Monmouth site, and it’s looking like Hollywood movie magic is moving back to where it all began in a big way (pending some more approvals and hurdle jumps).

[ ICYMI - This $905 million project is set to turn 292 acres into a creative playground with 12 sound stages, post-production facilities, and all the bells and whistles you’d expect from Netflix. ]

It’s promising to bring thousands of jobs to the area and put Jersey back on the map as a major player in the entertainment world. (Word on the street is the Soprano clan has a bid in for the waste management contract.)

Netflix is also promoting sustainability and community engagement, with plans to preserve open spaces and provide opportunities for local businesses. There is a section on the site for vendors to submit requests to get in on the action.

This is huge for filmmakers, creatives, and anyone who loves seeing big ideas come to life.
