Queen isn't done touring altogether, but guitarist Brian May's health has the band resolved to taking fewer gigs and touring at a less intense pace.
"They will do little bits and bobs, but they won't do those big tours," May's wife Anita Dobson told 'The Mirror' in a new interview. "We are all getting old."
May suffered a minor stroke last year, which for a time left him unable to use his left arm. He has since regained his ability to play music, he has said.
The stroke came after May was hospitalized multiple times in 2020 with numerous ailments, including a glute muscle tear, a heart attack and then a near-fatal episode due to complications from his heart medication.
That's on top of living with severe sciatica, a chronic Achilles tendon issue and chronic depression.
May himself has yet to comment on the future of his touring career, though Queen drummer Roger Taylor told 'Rolling Stone' recently that he feels the band has more ahead of it.
"I don't think we're done," Taylor said. "And I don't think we're going to say a final farewell tour. because it never is, is it?"
Queen + Adam Lambert do not have any upcoming shows announced. Taylor offered no hint that the band has solid plans for 2026.
