Honoring the Life of Franklin Police Department Officer Marcus McCarson

May Officer Marcus McCarson rest in God’s eternal peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, family, friends, and fellow officers as they mourn his passing. McCarson, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, joined the Franklin Police Department in December 2025. Just two months ago, he and his wife, Abby, welcomed their daughter, Azzi. He was 21 years old when he died in an off-duty motorcycle crash on September 17, 2026.



King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway Through the Decades

From a young couple in love to Norway’s King and Queen, Harald and Sonja shared one of the most enduring royal marriages of modern Europe. They first met in 1959, but their path to marriage was far from simple. Because Sonja Haraldsen was a commoner, it took nine years before King Olav gave his permission for Crown Prince Harald to marry her. They finally wed at Oslo Cathedral on August 29, 1968.

Over the following decades, their family grew with the birth of Princess Märtha Louise in 1971 and Crown Prince Haakon in 1973. When Harald became King in 1991 following the death of his father, Olav V, Sonja became Queen of Norway. Together, they established a partnership that combined royal duty with a strong sense of family and personal closeness.

In 2018, Harald and Sonja celebrated their golden wedding anniversary after five decades of marriage. Throughout Harald’s reign, Queen Sonja remained a constant presence beside him, accompanying him at official ceremonies, state occasions, and important moments of national life. The Royal Court has described their relationship as a strong partnership, with Harald repeatedly emphasizing how important Sonja’s support and love were to him.

King Harald V of Norway Has Died at 89

Norway is mourning the loss of His Majesty King Harald V, who died peacefully at Oslo University Hospital on August 28, 2026, at the age of 89. His death marked the end of a remarkable 35-year reign that began in 1991.

King Harald was widely admired for his warmth, humility, gentle humor, and deep sense of duty. Throughout his reign, he traveled extensively across Norway and maintained a close connection with people from every part of the country. Together with Queen Sonja, he represented Norway on countless state visits and welcomed leaders and members of royal families from around the world.

He continued the royal motto “Alt for Norge” — “All for Norway” — and devoted more than three decades to serving his country. His passing brings an important chapter of modern Norwegian royal history to a close, leaving behind Queen Sonja, their children, grandchildren, and a nation remembering a monarch who became a symbol of stability, compassion, and continuity.

Some losses never truly leave the hearts of those who served beside you.

Corporal Max W. Donahue was just 24 years old when an improvised explosive device struck during combat operations in Afghanistan. Critically wounded in the attack, Max was evacuated in an effort to get him to medical care in Germany, but he tragically passed away before reaching the treatment that might have saved his life.

For the Marines who fought alongside him, his loss was deeply personal. In combat, the men and women beside you become more than fellow service members—they become family. When one is lost, those left behind carry the grief while finding the strength to continue the mission.

Max’s sacrifice has never been forgotten by those who knew him. His courage, friendship, and unwavering devotion to his fellow Marines remain an enduring part of the legacy he left behind.

Honoring the Life and Service of Sergeant Chandler Moore

We remember Sergeant Moore, who tragically died from complications after contracting COVID-19 through a confirmed exposure while performing traffic-related duties along the Arkansas–Tennessee border.

Sergeant Moore dedicated 11 years of his life to serving with the Arkansas Highway Patrol. Throughout his career, he committed himself to protecting others and carrying out his responsibilities with honor and dedication.

His passing left a profound loss for his family, fellow troopers, and the community he served. He is survived by his wife, two children, and parents, who now face the heartbreaking loss of someone deeply loved.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Sergeant Moore’s family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who knew him. May his years of service and the lives he touched never be forgotten.

Honoring the Life and Service of Staff Sgt. Deonte Lamar Davis

We mourn the tragic loss of Staff Sgt. Deonte Lamar Davis, a proud U.S. Army Soldier from Daytona Beach, Florida, who passed away Tuesday following an accident at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Staff Sgt. Davis was assigned to the 19th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps, where he served as a bridge crew member. Throughout his service, he demonstrated dedication to his mission, his fellow Soldiers, and the Army he proudly represented.

His commander, Col. Jeff Burges, remembered him as an outstanding Soldier and leader whose absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and fellow Soldiers throughout the formation.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Davis family, his loved ones, friends, and military brothers and sisters during this heartbreaking time. May they find strength and comfort in the memories of a Soldier who served his country with honor and commitment.

May Sergeant Chris Fisher rest in God’s eternal peace.

Two children have lost their father, a wife has lost her husband, and a Georgia community has lost a man who dedicated his life to serving and protecting others.

Sergeant Chris Fisher of the Warm Springs Police Department was killed in the line of duty on Tuesday night. A U.S. Army veteran and dedicated law enforcement officer, Chris had previously served with several sheriff’s offices across Georgia before joining the Warm Springs Police Department just three months ago.

But Chris was much more than a badge and a uniform. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a son, a friend, and a fellow officer who genuinely cared about the people around him. During patrol, he made a point of speaking with children and taking time to make people feel seen, valued, and cared for.

Now, his wife and two children face the unimaginable pain of moving forward without him. No words can truly fill the emptiness left behind by such a devastating loss.

Chris Fisher deserves to be remembered not only for the way he served, but for the life he lived, the people he touched, and the family who loved him. Please keep his wife, children, parents, loved ones, and law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Blue Update from Colorado

Two Colorado State Patrol troopers injured in a shooting incident in Teller County on Tuesday have been identified as Trooper Clark Tinan and Trooper Skylar Hoehn.

Trooper Tinan was treated at a local hospital and released later that same day. Trooper Hoehn remains hospitalized as he continues to recover from his injuries.

Our thoughts and prayers are with both troopers, their families, and their fellow members of the Colorado State Patrol. We pray for Trooper Hoehn’s healing and a full recovery, and for continued strength for everyone affected by this incident.

Thank you to these brave officers for putting themselves in harm’s way to protect others. May they both return home safely.
