I grew up with various writing mediums, and books, all around me. Current novels, books about psychology, sociology, art, the local newspapers, human sexuality, erotica, and the classics. Henry Miller, Tolstoy, Freud, Van Gogh, Sylvia Plath, and when I discovered Rod McKuen as a teenager my heart stood still. As a result of this exposure, when I was alone, I read and studied these works, a page at a time. I considered myself a poet. I loved stories that were told succinctly with power, and words that struck me like lightening.
Maxwell Media (MM), or an umbrella where stories are told through different mediums, has been on my mind for a long time. People are extraordinary. The more ordinary they may seem, the deeper they usually are. Right now, that’s the direction we are going is about people and how they live, what they live with, and the moment-to-moment chaos and joy they share.
Stay tuned. Thank you for reading this. The stories are finding us and they are all over the place.
