I guess the secret is out…

Jase flew in to Michigan for a few days unannounced on social media to attend the 20th anniversary of the Pure Michigan conference.

The reason being…

*drumroll* 🄁

We are going to be coming back to Michigan in the summer so Jase wanted to connect with as many people as possible to make sure we have the best trip this summer.

Jase will still be going to Arkansas on his own from the 15th - 27th April and we’ll both be back together in Michigan in the summer.

I’m writing this as Jase has informed me he’s taken lots of selfies and met a lot of people already and he’s very busy! šŸ˜‚

He’s told me people were very nice in sending their best wishes to my family, I really appreciate it! šŸ™ā¤ļø

First stop, Arkansas for Jase then (end of May in America for a few days but it’s something we can’t really speak on right now, but stay tuned).

Michigan, we’ll see y’all in the summer! ā˜€ļøšŸ˜Ž

Historic moment unfolded when astronauts aboard Artemis II observed the full structure of the Moon’s Orientale Basin with human eyes for the first time, revealing a vast ancient impact feature that had remained partially hidden for billions of years and now appears with striking clarity against the silence of space.

The observations were made while travelling in the Orion spacecraft operated by NASA, during a mission that follows a trajectory extending hundreds of thousands of kilometres from Earth to the Moon. The Orientale Basin itself spans roughly 600 miles or about 950 kilometres across, located along the Moon’s western limb near the boundary between the near and far sides, a region difficult to fully observe from Earth due to its angled position.

As the spacecraft passed above the region, astronauts captured imagery through the capsule windows while the basin’s concentric rings became visible in full, forming a layered geological pattern shaped by a massive impact event billions of years ago. The scene included Earth appearing as a distant sphere suspended in darkness, offering a rare visual alignment that combined both planetary bodies in a single frame, emphasizing the scale of the moment in deep space exploration.

A notable pattern observed in lunar geology is that large multi ring basins often preserve evidence of ancient impacts in progressively wider rings, showing how energy from a single event can reshape terrain far beyond the initial collision point, making them valuable records for understanding planetary evolution across the cosmos and broader universe science.

As the spacecraft continues its path toward the far side of the Moon, entering a brief communication blackout lasting around 40 minutes due to lunar obstruction, the experience reflects both the precision of modern exploration and the quiet isolation of deep space, where each passing view reveals how much of the unknown still stretches beyond familiar horizons.
