As Western New York's only #NPS location, the #TRSite is home to an extensive collection of artifacts and documents related to Theodore Roosevelt - his inauguration and presidency, the assassination of President McKinley, the Wilcox family and their residence on 641 Delaware Avenue and the Pan American Exposition.

To celebrate #NationalParkWeek, we're each going to share one of our favorite National Park Service sites! Ryan's park is southern CA's Channel Islands National Park - just about an hour boat ride from Santa Barbara or Ventura.

The park's five islands are home to over 2,000 species of plants and animals, 145 of which are unique to the islands and found nowhere else in the world - including four mammals. Over half the park is under water, but there’s something for everyone to enjoy - from hiking to kayaking to whale watching. #FindYourPark

Outside of the office, Ryan and Mark love to visit the smaller National Parks and Monuments across the country.

In NYC, one of these monuments is right down the street. Beneath the towering sky scrapers of lower Manhattan lies the African Burial Grounds. African Burial Ground National Monument, discovered in 1991 during construction of a federal building, is the final resting place for an estimated 15,000 free and enslaved Africans in the 1600s-1700s.

This National Monument commemorates the financial and physical contributions of enslaved Africans in colonial New York and honors their memory. #FindYourPark #BHM
