BREAKING: Jon Stewart shreds Trump as a "bile production facility" fueled by vengeance
Jon Stewart delivered one of his sharpest critiques yet of Donald Trump's mindset, offering a blistering assessment during Wednesday's episode of The Weekly Show.
When asked whether the 80-year-old president is genuinely happy, Stewart argued that Trump is "animated by vengeance." He said that, paradoxically, Trump is happy because "his body is a bile production facility." While most people "live aerobically," Stewart explained, Trump "lives anaerobically and therefore is happy in his oxygenless world."
Stewart said Trump's need for constant attention is at the heart of everything he does. "Is he the center of attention? Yes. Then he's happy. That's it," Stewart remarked.
He expanded on that idea by portraying Trump as someone who exists entirely through the attention of others. "He is animated only by our eyes and our focus and our attention," Stewart said. "He is the original algorithm. He drives us to his embrace, and we all revolve. He is the sun, and we are but the stars. Romeo and Juliet is about him."
As an example, Stewart pointed to last weekend's Great American State Fair, which drew sparse crowds and was widely viewed as an embarrassment. According to Stewart, however, Trump sees the event very differently. With heavy sarcasm, Stewart said Trump believes he "put on the greatest American fair ever" and that "he's beloved," illustrating what Stewart described as Trump's ability to reshape reality in his own mind.
Stewart has voiced similar criticisms for years. As early as 2016, he described Trump as "narcissistic" and a "man baby." More recently, clinical psychologist Dr. John Gartner echoed that perspective, saying Trump's fixations are "a function of malignant narcissism" and arguing that the president is "obsessed with things that reflect glory on him."
Once again, Stewart expressed what he believes millions of Americans are thinking, delivering his critique in a way that left a lasting impression.
