Ginny Owens

Ginny Owens' first album, WITHOUT CONDITION, turns 20 this year. Marking the anniversary, Ginny shares stories of her creative process and the folks who worked with her to make the music that would launch her distinguished career.

Welcome to the second video in our Without Condition story, featuring another of my most favorite people in the world - someone whose musical influence has had a profound impact on my life. Not only does Monroe Jones possess all the positive energy, but working with him in the studio is an experience like none other - he's the one who taught me how thoroughly exciting and inspiring the album-making process can be. “Free,” a track added near the end of making Without Condition, bears the signature sound of two motorcycles driving past the front door of the studio where we were recording. It’s also the only song I ever wrote in fifteen minutes! I hope you enjoy the new chord flavors in this live, unplugged version.

If you’d like to enjoy extended interviews and help create my 2020 album, join my team at patreon.com/ginnyowens.
