MNN is proud of the graduates from LIT: Lawyers in Training Program, produced by NYC For Youth, Inc and hosted at our W38 Studios location (509 W 38th) in Manhattan.

This program offers high school students a five-week basic law curriculum, providing a comprehensive introduction to the field of legal studies, led by Judge Katherine Waterman-Marshall - and they’ve recently added Supreme Court, Family Court, and Civil Court studies to their repertoire.

This year, the program supported 30 students (ages 14-18) as they participated in research case presentations and mock trials. Students serve as the judges, juries, prosecutors, and defense attorneys across staged cases, learning the framework for real-world legal interactions.

To close out the most recent session, Chief Judge Rowan Wilson and local assemblyman Tony Simone made an appearance to deliver the official graduation certifications on August 7th.

With three students from last year’s program currently interning at the Supreme Court, this is a program to keep your eye on!

MNN was thrilled to host the premiere of “He Who Walks In Darkness,” a short film created by our community producer and GFS alum, Juan Del Rio.

The story follows an entrepreneur, a fortune teller, and a delivery girl who must band together to face a demon that haunts the darkness of their office space.

The screening and following panel discussion were incredibly illuminating, and thanks to the overall community for showing up to support. We’ll see you again soon!

It’s hard to get a job on a movie or TV production without any connections. If you don’t have a driver’s license, it’s even harder.

That’s why the Made in NY PA Training Program launched the West Side Drives Scholarship. This scholarship offers free driving lessons to low-income residents of Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen and Hudson Yards who want to join the “Made in NY” Production Assistant Training Program.

On Monday night, MNN hosted City Limit's Democratic Mayoral Candidate Forum on NYCHA & Family Homelessness at our Hudson Yards location in Manhattan (509 W 38th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10018).

The well-attended forum provided a platform for members of our community to present their questions and concerns to five democratic candidates in the race for Mayor of NYC: State Senator Jessica Ramos, City Comptroller Brad Lander, City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, former Comptroller Scott Stringer, and former Assemblyman Michael Blake.

As a pillar of the public entertainment industry, MNN is proud to have provided the space and resources for this conversation to our friends at City Limits. We work daily to equip our community and partners with the insight, tools, and training to make their voices heard through media, and we're thrilled to amplify their voices in-person.

Stay tuned to our website and social channels to find new ways to get involved.
