They’re’s got to be a better/easier way y’all hang hay nets outside in the pasture!
1. Yes, I already have a hay hut.
2. Yes, I hang them in the stalls.
3. No, I don’t want to hang them on gates.
4. I have 4 rotating hay nets around the fields for movement.
5. Yes, the hay needs to be in hay nets due to my fluffy powder puffs.
6. I’m currently using a fence insulator to hang them.
Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Here it is. 8x10 tack room. I have two of these. I love the cheap pvc pipe bridle hangers. Make them a little longer to stack more. You can also order wire ones from Schneiders. Line the walls with 3/4” plywood and screw stuff any place you want! My son welded the horse shoes hangers

Okay I just this summer bought my property and we had to put up fencing and all that. Finally got the horses here. Now, what the p**p? I have two pastures, 3 horses. The smaller pasture with one horse builds up with manure fast. I have been picking the pasture and just dumping it into a pile for now with the intent on doing some research on composting. So what is the best practice for manure management and composting? I think im just going to drag the other pasture and see how that holds up.

Any tricks for figuring out the extent of a groundhog burrow and tunnels? I see one main entrance at the post just on the other side of the fence, but horses punched through from the top. They have been removed from this pasture until I get this sorted out. *The 3 holes in grass are from a horse punching through the sod and a few inches of soil into the tunnel below. Groundhog tunnels can be very long.

Thanks to you guys and your posts about blanket storage, I went to Wal-Mart and got a box of Magic Bags and vacuumed sealed 8 heavy weight winter turn out blankets! I don’t know why I’ve never done this before. For under $30 I now can store them inside and not worry about them until winter!!!

This was my father’s saddle horse (it’s 100 years old) and now I have it, but not in my tack room which is dusty and unheated and really not great. I was going to send it to auction this year as it’s not used. But after seeing some of your amazing tack rooms I think I might keep it and aspire to use it in the future.
