L’Epée 1839 takes mechanical timekeeping onto the pitch with The Football, a full-scale spherical clock inspired by the classic 32-panel ball. Inside, an openworked 882-component movement turns the familiar pentagon-and-hexagon geometry into a mechanical sculpture.

The manually wound movement offers an eight-day power reserve, while hours and minutes appear on rotating discs built directly into the sphere. Four versions are offered, each limited to 99 pieces.

IWC brings purple to its Pilot’s Watch collection for the first time with a new chronograph created for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix. Inspired by Singapore’s national flower, the dial pairs deep purple with the team’s signature Petronas green.

The 41mm Pilot’s Watch Chronograph combines a Grade 5 titanium case with IWC’s automatic Caliber 69385 and a matching purple rubber strap.

Urwerk takes the idea of measuring time to an almost absurd extreme with the one-of-a-kind UR-1001 Amadeus. The pocket watch tracks everything from seconds and minutes to years, centuries, and even a full millennium through satellite, retrograde, and orbital displays.

Its titanium case is just as elaborate, hand-engraved by Florian Güllert over roughly 500 hours with a baroque-inspired floral pattern. The price: approximately $560,000.

The rest of the world might still think it’s summer, but the watch world is back in action with Geneva Watch Days.

The event is already delivering plenty to talk about, and our full Day 1 coverage is live now. Here are seven of the watches that caught our attention:

Oris ProPilot X Gonzo Edition — The Muppets collaboration gets its wildest installment yet, complete with a 10-day power reserve and Gonzo’s face hidden within the mainspring.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Dual Time × Vianney Halter — Bulgari teams up with one of independent watchmaking’s most distinctive minds for a retro-futuristic dual-time Octo Finissimo.

Breitling Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 Tribute to Miles Davis — A 500-piece tribute inspired by the Navitimer ref. 806 Mk5 worn by the jazz legend himself, complete with the revived Air Racer bracelet.

Gerald Charles Masterlink Atelier Edition — Hundreds of individual hammer strikes give each Maillechort dial its own texture, with just 25 pieces produced in each color.

Corum Admiral Ceramic Skeleton — Ceramic comes to the Admiral for the first time, with the skeletonized version putting its openworked movement front and center.

Frederique Constant Classics Moneta Handwinding — The young Moneta collection goes mechanical for the first time with a smoky salmon dial and hand-wound movement.

Alpina Startimer Pilot Solarmetre — Alpina brings its solar technology to the Startimer Pilot for the first time, along with a new 38mm case.

The TAG Heuer Monza turns 50 with a new flyback chronograph that brings its Formula 1 roots back to the forefront. The anniversary edition pairs the racing colors of the original 1976 model with a 42mm forged-carbon case and TAG Heuer’s COSC-certified TH20-12 manufacture movement.

Limited to 500 pieces, it adds red accents, tachymeter and pulsometer scales, and a perforated leather strap that keeps the motorsport connection intact.
