5️⃣0️⃣ Is this a hint at what’s next from ? Turning 50 this year, the brand released a special, elevated version of its celebrated Millesime chronograph, The Fifty. It featured an original Valjoux 23-6 from 1976 (also the brand’s founding year) which was fully restored and hand decorated (👉 3rd slide). The dial, too, is executed with even more captivating care and finishes than the standard model (which is itself fantastic). We’d love to see some of those features in the larger collection as well, but this model also stands out for its size: 37mm. Right in middle of previous Millesime sizes of 35mm and 39mm, it’s pretty damn compelling and likely just about perfect for a lot of people. Who else wants see something like that from Raymond Weil? 🙋‍♂️

Jacob & Co. celebrates its 40th anniversary this year with the Billionaire Double Tourbillon Angel Cut, a limited edition of 18 pieces centered on a newly patented diamond cut. Developed over two years, the Angel Cut gives the watch its defining visual effect, with the case and bracelet built around how the stones reflect light.

Priced at $3.4 million, the watch pairs Jacob & Co.’s high-jewelry approach with a double tourbillon movement, placing it firmly at the upper end of the brand’s anniversary releases.

Bell & Ross continues its square-watch thesis with the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor, a 99-piece limited edition that treats the case and movement as a single unit. The 40mm steel case serves as the movement plate, with bridges and middle case forming one block between sapphire crystals front and back.

Powered by the manufacture BR-CAL.390, the watch uses a micro-rotor to keep the case height to 9mm, while the openworked, grid-like construction gives the familiar Bell & Ross square a more structural, more conceptual expression. Full details live!

Hermès brings the H08 into more serious watchmaking territory with the new Squelette. Debuted last month, the watch introduces a skeletonized Vaucher-made H1978S caliber designed specifically around the H08’s distinctive rounded-square case — it's no round peg in a square hole

With a black DLC-coated titanium case, ceramic bezel, 100 meters of water resistance, and movement architecture that echoes the case itself, the Squelette gives the collection a more technical, more cohesive, and more interesting expression. There’s a ton going on in the Celestial Sunrise & Sunset 6105G that released for . It added to the brand’s existing Celestial watches with one of the most interesting and useful complications we know of: an indicator for sunrise and sunset, as the name suggests. It also allows you to quickly adjust back and forth for daylight savings. With a multi-layered dial showing a star chart as seen from the northern hemisphere as well as moon phases and more, it was the most fun and exciting thing we saw from the brand this year — despite that there were around 20 stunning novelties and some that attracted more immediate attention. Easily a highlight of

Hautlence continues its exploration of unconventional displays with the Sphere Series 4.

Hours are shown via a rotating sphere driven across three axes, while a retrograde minute hand handles time on the opposite side. The skeletonized dial reveals the movement architecture, housed in a rectangular titanium case.

Powered by the hand-wound A82 caliber with a 72-hour reserve, the model is limited to 28 pieces.

Armin Strom pushes into new territory with the Minute Repeater Resonance 12:59 First Edition. The watch combines two of horology’s most demanding principles— minute repetition and resonance— within an entirely new architecture.

At its core is an expanded striking system, replacing the traditional two hammers and gongs with four of each to produce a full Westminster melody. The result is a more layered, complex acoustic output, managed by a visible centrifugal governor that regulates the tempo while adding a dynamic element to the dial.
