It was wonderful to be a guest on Roundtable and discuss the power of forgiveness and how it helps heal our pain. Having experienced this first hand, it is my mission to help as many others do the same.
On Feb 20th I’m giving a workshop. Link in the comments.
Fantastic to be a guest on TMS Roundtable and discuss how the power of forgiveness helps heal chronic pain and stress.
Coming up this Monday live. I love the hosts Tova and Rose, both mental health and wellness experts (one is in Israel and the other Australia) and I get to speak about my favorite topic - forgiveness and how that connects to chronic pain.
What is so important is how we communicate with each other.
Are you an active listener? Do you allow the other person to speak without your interrupting or thinking about what you want to say?
Or does your partner constantly interrupt you? Doesn't let you get a word in?
Nonviolent communication starts with one person. You can lead the way.
Join me on February 20th for a workshop on this and how it's an important component of forgiveness.
Do you remember Highlight's magazine? The page where there was a challenge to find the hidden objects in an image?
Tomorrow, we're starting a 7 Week Photo Challenge called FIND MY FACE.
Running it on my Instagram account (at)glkirschenbaum.
The newsletter below explains all.
Good luck!

On May 3rd last year, I was out on my bike heading home to the West Village when I noticed the White Horse Tavern. It’s one of the oldest bars in New York City and was a gathering place for writers where many drank heavily. Dylan Thomas was know to drink himself to death there in 1953. For me, who is not a big drinker, I spent many a nights there drinking a shandy and eating a delicious hamburger and fries. On this day, I was heartbroken to see the White Horse all boarded up.
I loved capturing the lines of the cross walks making a diamond shape in the foreground as we can see the White Horse in the background.
Join me tonight at 6pm EST for a virtual walkthrough of two new exhibits of mine: HIDDEN BEAUTY OF NYC & COVID-19.
You must register by 3:30 PM EST the latest. Only a few spots left.

On March 20th, Governor Andrew Cuomo ordered all non-essential retailers and businesses to close, and for residents across the state to stay home as much as possible in an effort to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus. The order was in effect through April 29th. As we all know that order continued for much longer.
I met up with my cousin, it’s the last time I saw him, and we took a walk by the Hudson River at the end of the day. This was before masks were even suggested never mind required. I couldn’t find any masks online or anywhere and ended up buying on Amazon a package purple bandannas. I gifted my cousin one. That was what I wore for quite a while which became a conversation piece as I looked like I was about to hold up a bank.
This photo was shot on my last walk with my cousin on one of the piers off the Hudson River in the West Village. I loved the geometric shapes created by angles of the fence with the two people walking as the sun setting.
