“In 1968, when I wanted to marry, I didn’t have money for a ring, suit, or big party. Life was not easy then, but I knew what I wanted. There was this beautiful girl I liked. I didn’t waste time. I went to the market, bought a strong, healthy goat, carried it on my head, and walked all the way to her village.

That goat was my own engagement ring. When I reached their compound, I met her father and said, “Sir, I want to marry your daughter.” He looked at the goat, then looked at me and smiled. He said, “This one is serious husband material.” That day, I didn’t kneel down or take pictures.

No camera, no Instagram, no drama. Just a goat, respect, and boldness. That girl later became my wife. We built a home with love, patience, and hard work — not filters and fake lifestyle and it's been 57 years.

Young people today, you think love is about flowers and trips to Dubai. Sometimes, it's about sacrifice and being responsible."

“People know me as Osuofia. They láugh when they see me in movies, but many don’t know the other side of me.

Growing up, I saw how póor children sûffered just to go to school. Some had no shoes, no books, and no food. I told myself, “One day, if God blesses me, I will do something.”

Now, after all these years in Nollywood, I finally did it. I built a free school in Enugu — no school fees, no uniforms, nothing! Just come and learn.

I named it "Osuofia Foundation Academy" because I want to give back to the same society that gave me fame.

For me, true success is not in how many cars you drive, but in how many lives you touch.”

🚨 Drama as lady calls out Peller — “I came for a job, but you used me for content!”

One outspoken lady isn’t keeping quiet after showing up for what she believed was a genuine job interview organised by Peller. According to her, the whole thing was nothing but clout chasing.

“I came there for employment, and you were using me to do content. What Peller did was not necessary. People came from distant places. I went because I knew I had the qualities to actually help,” she lamented.

She claimed the event felt staged — applicants allegedly turned into extras for viral videos rather than being given a real shot at employment.

Now, Naija netizens are split: some are vexed, asking why people’s hustle was turned into a reality show, while others argue it’s just smart content marketing in today’s digital age.

Real opportunity or social media strategy? The matter still dey hang.

“I gave my girlfriend only $5k out of my first million!” — Akon shares how he dodged premium tears

When singer Akon finally touched his first million dollars, excitement nearly carried him fly. But instead of blowing it all on flex, the man moved smart:

First move? He built a music studio worth about $250,000 — just in case the fame waka pass, at least the hustle go still dey. Then he turned to family: $150,000 each to mama and papa, plus around $25,000 for each brother to start small businesses. Blood first, always.

Then came the twist: babe of that time asked for a whopping $200,000. Akon said he just laughed, zipped pocket, and gave her $5,000 instead

Madam vex, carried bag and left. Akon no shed single tear — he said her reaction proved what she really wanted.

If you want to stay rich as a man, hold your wallet tight around women — or your bank account will cry faster than your heart.

Nicki Minaj proudly unveiled her first private jet — elegantly pink and strictly for Barbz.

Yet amid the applause, one perceptive Nigerian user observed:

“This is an American artiste celebrating herself for purchasing a private jet. When Davido acquired his $68m Bombardier five years ago, most Nigerians were hating. Congratulations, Queen.”

A fair point, and a timely reminder: perhaps it’s time we extend the same grace, pride, and applause we lavish on global stars… to our own.

Reflect and respond — why do we celebrate them louder than us?

“I didn’t leave my husband because I stopped loving him. I left because I was starting to forget how to love myself.
People assume divôrce means failure. No! sometimes, it’s survival.

For years, I kept quiet, smiling for the camera, wearing my ring like everything was okay. But behind the scenes, I was disappearing, emotionally, mentally.

I gave the best of me to a man who eventually stopped seeing me. Conversations turned to silence. Respect turned to tension. And the home I tried so hard to build started to feel like a place I didn’t belong.

Walking away wasn’t easy. It wasn’t dramatic. It was silent, deliberate. I didn’t need to announce it, I just started choosing myself again.

I stopped posting “Chioma Akpotha” and went back to being “Chioma Chukwuka” not because I hate my past, but because I’m reclaiming my name, my peace, and my power.
I didn’t lose a marriage. I found myself.”
