THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY HOLDS A MEETING IN PREPARATION FOR THE OCCUPATIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OF 4TH YEAR BAT STUDENTS

A meeting was held on October 30, 2025, at the CBSUA CND Hall for the 4th Year Bachelor of Agricultural Technology (BAT) students in preparation for their upcoming Occupational Internship Program. The guidelines, requirements, and important reminders were presented and discussed to ensure the effective and successful implementation of the said program.

CBSUA Concludes International Mobility Program with Universitas Muria Kudus

CBSUA successfully concluded its month-long International Mobility Program with Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK), Indonesia, featuring students from the Agrotechnology and Agribusiness programs. The culminating activity was participated in by the Agricultural Technology Society and Agribusiness students, highlighting cultural exchange, student reflections, and presentations from the Program Chairs of Agricultural Technology and Agribusiness. Messages from university officials and the awarding of certificates capped the event, emphasizing collaboration, shared learning, and cultural appreciation. The program reaffirmed CBSUA’s strong commitment to advancing international partnerships and promoting experiential learning in the fields of agriculture and agribusiness.

CBSUA-BAT Strengthens Industry Linkages through Host Training Institution Visits
October 27, 2025

The Department of Agricultural Technology (BAT) of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, headed by Mr. Francis Leo M. Loberanes, conducted a series of Host Training Institution (HTI) visits in preparation for the Occupational Internship Program (OIP) of the 4th-year BAT students for the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026.

Together with faculty members Mr. Remar Canonico, Ms. Judith Tortoles, Mr. Arvin Saluna, Mr. Jeremy Sareno, and Ms. Anelyn Otto, the team visited several partner farms and agribusiness establishments, namely Camsur Poultry Farm, Apollo’s Feeds, and Pasto De Iriola Integrated Farm.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss and finalize Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) with the identified HTIs, ensuring a strong partnership between the university and industry partners. During the visit, Mr. Loberanes discussed the nature, objectives, and implementation guidelines of the OIP, highlighting the importance of hands-on learning experiences and industry collaboration in equipping students with the competencies needed in modern agriculture.

Culinary Exchange in Action 🍽️🇮🇩🇵🇭

CBSUA’s Agricultural Technology Society (ATS) together with the 4th-year Bachelor of Agricultural Technology students, joined a culinary training with Agrotechnology and Agribusiness students from Universitas Muria Kudus, Indonesia.

The engaging session featured the preparation of authentic Indonesian delicacies — Risol Mayo, a crispy pastry filled with creamy mayonnaise and vegetables; Klepon, a sweet glutinous rice ball with palm sugar filling; and the uniquely refreshing Jamu Kunir Asem drink.

The activity culminated in a delightful tasting session, fostering cultural exchange, friendship, and appreciation for the rich flavors and culinary traditions of Indonesia.
