Red umbrella,
We have enjoyed our time in Japan.
One of the most interesting things you learn is not so much what is visible on the surface but what lies underneath
appearances. This beautiful umbrella symbolizes what Japan is all about.
It is strong, resilient, balanced, designed,
art, craft, & skill. The most notable of human skills here is respect, dignity & service to others. The pride they take in all tasks large or small. This is a trait we could all learn & celebrate in the US.
