I am honestly losing my mind watching this. We are paying a plumbing company $14,200 to replace the sewer connection and I walk outside to see this guy literally standing in a muddy hole gluing plastic pipes together like he is building a LEGO set. There is purple glue everywhere, pipes pointing in five different directions, and they are just holding fittings in their hands trying to “figure it out.” I asked the foreman if this was planned out beforehand and he said “yeah we kind of build it as we go.” BUILD IT AS YOU GO?? For fourteen thousand dollars I expected blueprints and precision not a live plumbing experiment happening in a dirt pit. Am I crazy or does this look like they are just winging the entire thing...???

My neighbor had a contractor install a new fence yesterday, and I noticed it looked a little close to our side of the yard. I measured it this morning and it's about 7 inches inside my property line. When I mentioned it, he said it's 'basically the same thing' and not worth moving. Am I overreacting here, or is this something that actually needs to be fixed?

My plumber just handed me a $3,400 bill for what is essentially twenty dollars worth of plastic pipe and some purple glue. He spent half the time standing in this mud pit on his phone, and now he’s claiming the "labor" justifies a cost that's higher than my actual mortgage payment. I told him I’m not paying a cent until he itemizes every single minute, especially the time he spent getting his boots dirty. If you're going to charge surgeon prices, you better deliver more than a hole in the ground filled with muddy water.
