ATTENTION: Unpaid community service opportunity from Hostos Office of Veterans Affairs:
"This will be a fantastic opportunity for our digital media students to participate in this endeavor which will include the President, Former President and Former VP SDEM and Channel 12 news. We need a student to be able to assist in the video recording, editing and collection of various individual video recordings from various persons and to assist in content collection of images which will be organized into a prerecorded video ceremony. This will air November 9th. As a result we will need to complete this video no later than November 7th.
The experience and the project will forever be accredited to the student. The student will be working closely with former Samsung Video Manager that produced numerous commercial videos for Samsung and other fortune 500 companies. The student will get mentorship and guidance from this professional who still actively works in this profession. The individual referenced has volunteered his time to assist our office with this but, he will need someone on the ground to assist in in the above mentioned collection and recording."

The soft launch of the DYBXStart space is on the week of November 11th. On this date we will be having a community visioning workshop which will look to get community input and feedback around the types of programming gamers and game developers would like to see out of our new gaming space. After that, there will be a game devs show case (assuming we can get some HOSTOS devs out here to showcase their work) We would like to provide space for them to show their games to community members. There will be media and funders from AT&T there. It is a great way to meet folks and be the first group to present out of this new space. It is low stakes and devs will be stationed around the room.
Immediately after, we will be holding a Super Smash brothers tournament until 11pm that night in which any HOSTOS studdnts are more than welcome to participate in. I've attached a one pager that explains our mission and what we will be doing this year. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you or anyone on the team has any questions!
