I am excited to share the latest progress on my journey to uncover and document my grandfather’s experiences during World War II. This intensely personal project focuses on his harrowing journey fleeing Europe, his internment in concentration camps in the Dutch East Indies, and his return after the war. My research aims to collect and preserve records, documents, and photographs related to his experiences. Ultimately, I plan to compile these findings into a novel that honors his resilience and courage, ensuring that his story, and those of many others, are not forgotten. I am contacting various organizations for support and funding to bring this vital project to fruition. Stay tuned for more updates as I continue this incredible journey of discovery and remembrance.
