On the 7th February 2000 a Zoo keeper was crushed to death by an elephant in his care at a Kent wildlife park owned by the millionaire conservationist and gambler John Aspinall.

Darren Cockrill, 27, was found with multiple injuries in the stall of a 14 year-old female Indian elephant called La Petite, who had been at the Port Lympne wildlife park, near Hythe in Kent, for less than three months. Despite attempts to revive him at the scene, he was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

Luka Magnotta is a Canadian convicted murderer who gained international notoriety in 2012 for the killing and dismemberment of Chinese student Lin Jun in Montreal. He then mailed Lin's hands and feet to elementary schools and federal political party offices. After the video that showed Magnotta mutilating Lin's co**se was posted online, Magnotta fled Canada leading to a widespread manhunt. He was later arrested in Berlin and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 25 years

So I lost my phone...

Last night a friend rushed me out of the house to catch the opening act at a local bar's music night. After a few drinks I realized my phone wasn't in my pocket. I checked the table we were sitting at, the bar, the bathrooms, and after no luck I used my friend's phone to call mine. After two rings someone answered, gave out a low raspy giggle, and hung up. They didn't answer again. I eventually gave it up as a lost cause and headed home. I found my phone laying on my night stand, right where I left it....

Julien Barreaux spent six months looking for the real-life version of a character who killed his character in a knife fight in the popular video game.

The victim survived the attack and Barreaux was sentenced to 2 years in prison and was made to attend anger management classes
