Bangladeshi filmmaker Rubaiyat Hossain’s The Difficult Bride has won the Bisato d’Oro award for Best Director at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, an independent critics’ prize.
The France-Bangladesh-Portugal-Norway-Germany co-production, presented in Venice’s Orizzonti section, marks the first Bangladeshi feature selected there.
