BF PR is a public relations company founded in 2019 in New York. Founder Brooke Filosa has more than 14 years of experience in hospitality communications working with well-regarded chefs, restaurateurs and cookbook authors. For over six years, Brooke worked at Bullfrog + Baum, one of the country’s leading hospitality PR firms, representing some of the largest names in the hospitality industry including Bobby Flay, Paul Liebrandt, Alain Ducasse, Marcus Samuelsson and Missy Robbins. Brooke worked with and traveled to attend national culinary events including SOBEWFF South Beach Wine & Food Festival, Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival and Bon Appétit Magazine's Vegas Uncork'd.
Jesse Schenker Hospitality Group then recruited Brooke as Communications Director for recette and The Gander in New York City and opened 2 Spring in Oyster Bay, Long Island to much acclaim. Part of this exciting time for Brooke included the launch of Jesse's memoir, All or Nothing: One Chef's Appetite for the Extreme (Harper Collins, 2015), a great opportunity to garner further renown for Chef Schenker.
Following this, Brooke started her freelance company, BF PR, and has since opened It Bagel and Pizza in Oyster Bay, Abbracciamento in Lynbrook and Uncle Louie G's of Oceanside. She is a Long Island native, an enthusiastic home cook, bread baker, traveler, beach lover and mother of two. Most recently, Brooke spent time on local non-profit work with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and serves on the Executive Board of her children's school PTA.
