Monday! 7:00PM. We have this beautiful souled artist LIVE! Besides being a Broadway & Off Broadway staple for many years, he’s part of the family I choose in this life.
A sought-after New York vocalist and Grammy winner, SYDNEY HARCOURT has performed on some of the world’s finest concert stages including Radio City Music Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Arthur Ashe Stadium at the US Open Finals. He has appeared on and off-Broadway starring in productions like the cultural phenomenon Hamilton (original Broadway company), Disney’s The Lion King, Green Day’s American Idiot, and the U.S. Premier of Bob Dylan’s Girl From the North Country where he originated the role of Joe Scott, receiving critical raves and nominations for the Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel, and Audelco Awards. No stranger to television, Sydney has appeared in Tell Me A Story, Blue Bloods, FBI, NCIS: New Orleans, Elementary, Younger, The Good Wife, Law and Order and also on film in Hamilton, and Disney’s Enchanted.
The world works in mysterious ways....who knew I’d get a chance to interview him about his craft and his dedication to his artistry.
I’m always in awe of his dedication to his art. I’m so proud of you! ♥️

So much madness this week. This month. This year. So much uncertainty and fear of the unknown. Here’s what I am certain of. Joy and I had the honor to interview Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen. These two artists create theatre from what’s happening in the world. They are two of the most prolific forces working in the American theater today. As activists, writers, actors and directors, they have amassed an extraordinary body of work over a short period of time in theater, film and tv. With a score of so many new projects in the pipeline, this extraordinary team is only scratching the surface of their powers. We can’t wait to see what’s next. Their latest work, The Line is a powerful new documentary-style play based on anonymous firsthand interviews with medical first responders in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic produced at the Public Theatre for their digital series.
Join us for tomorrow’s episode and learn from the masters how to extract real life and seamlessly put it on stage. I’m obsessed with these two beautiful artists. I’m so proud to know them. Episode available wherever you get your podcasts.

Ok, one FINAL thing about these two magnificent women. They truly stand next to each other in a business that can eat you alive. NOT these these icons. They raise each other up and amplify each other’s work and passions. Give yourself a treat and listen in as they discuss as Andréa created Daniela on stage and Daphne’s recreation of Daniela in the upcoming movie of In The Heights. I just stood back and watched these women admire and adore their artistry and what they learn from each other.
This is a special episode. I was just lucky enough to be in the room where it happened. Thank you BOTH.
