Evergreen Creations creates and distributes farm-friendly content that connects children with agriculture & local farming.
At Evergreen Creations we help family-run "agritourism" farms, theme parks, and other family-friendly venues attract, entertain, educate, and inspire their visitors. We develop and distribute stories, lesson plans, attractions, and merchandise for field trip programs, retail markets, and on-farm fun. In addition to supporting agritourism venues, we develop content that we distribute directly to schools and homes around the world.
Mission: At Evergreen Creations, we are committed to partnering with farmers and educators to educate and entertain children as they connect with their local food sources.

As we prepare for the upcoming fall harvest season -- working with farms across the country to add "Fairy Tale Trails" to their corn mazes and kid-friendly play areas -- we wanted to share a fun memory from a year ago when we visited Susan Hurd at Hurds Family Farm!

Having an amazing time visiting our friends at Dewberry Farm! Delighted to see JellyBean here in the shop and the Beauty and the Bees Fairy Tale Trail on display!
We couldn't bee more excited about the great review of "Beauty and the Bees" in a recent edition of the American Beekeeping Federation's E-Buzz! Excerpt below...
Why I love it: This buzzy twist on a classic fairy tale is so fun! I must admit, I was a little bristled when I found out the “beast” was now the “beekeeper,” made scary by a swarm of bees around his head. However, the author navigates this in a very crafty way that integrates the bees and the beekeeper into the story in a kind and fear-free way. I think it’s a bee-utiful way to address kids’ fear of bees -- by shining our winged friends in a positive light in the end. I also love the idea behind this series, recreating some of our most loved and familiar fairy tales, with a farmy twist! Other titles are Jack and the Cornstalk, Ciderella and the Little Glass Sipper, Little Red Overalls, and The Three Little Racing Pigs.
One of my favorite parts of facilitating the “Kids and Bees” program for the American Beekeeping Federation is meeting the inspiring and creative people out there doing great work for bees through encouraging kids to respect, admire and not fear our bees. One lasting and special way to do this is th...
We are busy spreading the word about promoting agriculture education at the farm! Check out our interview on the Agritourism Ideas podcast that was posted earlier this week.
Evergreen Creations develops quality "edutainment" to teach kids about agriculture, as well as many valuable lessons such as accepting others even though they may look different. Listen to our podcast interview from last week!
We are delighted with the feature story about our company in the December edition of Fruit Growers News. Please read the article (on pp.32-33) to learn more about how we help farmers educate, entertain, and inspire the children who visit their farms!
Don't worry, "bee" happy!

What a great cause from Andelin Family Farm!
The Andelin Family Farm is going farming south of the border! Several years ago Cameron’s brother did a medical humanitarian trip to Guatemala and it inspired us to take our kids and do something similar. We aren’t doctors or dentists but we are farmers! So we were excited when we heard about a not-for-profit organization that some our friends are involved with. It’s called Mayan Eco Homestead. They help Guatemalans learn micro gardening, animal husbandry and about balanced nutrition. Doing this helps fight back against the malnourishment and poverty challenge that many Guatemalans face. Mayan Eco Homestead practices a charity method focused on perpetual self-reliance. Think “give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish and feed him for a lifetime”.
We are going to visit Guatemala for a short time this winter and during our visit we are going to help with a project of installing garden boxes and teaching about micro or square foot gardening. To help with the Mayan Eco Homestead garden box initiative our family is going to raise funds that help pay for the materials of the garden boxes, seeds, gardening supplies and ongoing education for the families that are part of the project. Our goal is $1,000 which would be enough for approximately 9 families in the program. We have setup a CrowdRise fundraiser page where any donations will go directly to Mayan Eco Homestead. We invite you to learn more about Mayan Eco Homestead and hope you can help by donating to the cause. This Holiday season you can give a gift that is very meaningful. See the link below for our crowdrise fundraising page for the Mayan Eco Homestead. Thank you, and we will definitely share pictures of our experience!
We wish everyone a wonderful and safe holiday season. May you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
What a great, delicious recipe from Showalters Orchard and Greenhouse!

We were glad to "Bee" apart of this amazing event!
On Saturday, November 12th, at 7pm, the Bee Girl organization took over the bee-utiful ballroom at Bigham Knoll Campus in Jacksonville, Oregon. We ate delicious and creative farm and hive to table eats from Kristin Lyon's Farm Kitchen, and imbibed in Swing Tree Brewing Company "Bee Girl Honey Lager", Full Sail Brewing Company brews, Golden Coast Mead, and Wooldridge Creek Winery wines.
The evening was bee-utifully weaved together by our artful emcee, Maria Kelly.

The Beekeepers Ball is a fundraiser for the Bee Girl organization, a nonprofit with a world-wide presence on a mission to inspire and empower communities to conserve bees and their habitat. This is an event for the whole community to celebrate honey, the work of our bees, and our beekeepers!
Funds raised will enable Bee Girl to continue to conserve our bees by educating the public on the bees’ importance through our programs focused on community classes and events, public education, our Kids and Bees program, and our Farming for Bees initiative.
Thank you for all who came to the Ball, bid on items, enjoyed food and bevies, visited the merchandise table!! Also thank you to the Bee Girl Board of Directors, and the 40+ volunteers who came out to support this event, before, during, and after!! The bees and beekeepers thank YOU!!
