A fast-paced, all- out action picture, the first film in the franchise introduces us to THE HIT BOYS. BIGGA (VING RHAMES) PRINCE (DMX), WOLF (MEKHI PFEIFER), RIZ (BOKEEM WOODBINE), LO’BOOGIE (WACKA FLACKA), JAY (GBENGA AKINNAGBEAND), SHA (JADAKISS). The street kids that grew up together become one of New York City’s most feared and best-known crime syndicates.
In a desperate attempt to corner organized crime, the Italian Mafia headed by Adriano and Don Cortillo (STEVEN SEAGAL) makes an unlikely unusual alliance, contracting Bigga and 'The Hit Boys' to eliminate competition arising from rival crime families of various ethnicities. Led by Bigga, the crew welcome the job; Prince, Riz, Wolf, Lo Boogie, Sha and Jay, carry out the hits – taking out a series of high profile targets. Business is good, that is, until The Hit Boys realize they've been betrayed by one of their own. An underling in the crew, Jay is set up and arrested. He decides to turn states’ evidence and snitch on the crew, changing the lives of everyone involved.
The Hit Boys now find themselves on the run, and looking around every corner, no one is to be trusted, not even their own. The boundaries of their loyalties are tested to the max, when members of The Hit Boys are targeted for execution; all leading to a riveting showdown between the mob and The Hit Boys, ending with the truth on the table and plenty of blood spilled. Prince is forced to make a decision that will forever alter the course of his “crime” family.
