EDIT: just to add the fact that I live in a 55+ community in FL and it is not unusual at all to see awesome things in the garbage around here. People either move back north, go to nursing homes and unfortunately they die. When that happens the family comes in oftentimes and just start tossing. They do usually put stuff out a day or so ahead of actual garbage day so that the stuff has a chance to get taken. Most people, myself included, shamelessly go "garbage picking" in broad daylight. Heck, I've been known to load a recliner onto my golf cart before. I looked like the Beverly Hillbillies lol

I bought this vintage yellow chair for $5 on a whim at a garage sale. It really sparked joy so I had to have it. It’s been in my living room for 5 years now and it’s by far my favorite piece of furniture. It beats my IKEA armchair and brand new sofa for sure 😂 It makes me so jolly and fits right in with my colorful vintage decor 🌈
