The Riverdale Film Festival is Riverdale Country School’s annual celebration of the work that its students have made over the last year (or, in the case of the Advanced Film Class, the last two semesters). This year’s Festival was incredibly competitive, with over 30 films being submitted from Film I, Film II, and an Independent Study involving two seniors. Films are made in class and are automati

cally entered into the potential nominee pool. This pool is then narrowed down by a prestigious jury panel and the films with the five highest scores per category become the nominees for their respective categories. Filmmakers are notified of their nomination on Nomination Day (May 20th) and the winners receive their award on the Festival night.
