If you know me you know I love RC planes. Well there is a group called Commercial Drone Alliance (CDA) that wants to eliminate an FAA rule called FAA 336 that gives us the right to fly RC planes for fun as a hobby as long as we follow specific rules. If the CDA gets its way they will wipe out Rule 336 and take over all the airspace for their commercial endeavors. The CDA has the likes of Amazon, Google and Ford as sponsors. They want all the airspace the FAA will allow to do their thing. This means there will be no more RC flying hobby. If you have ever driven by a schoolyard or open field and seen a cool plane out for a flight and thought it was cool...well the CDA wants to make that stop. If you can take a few minutes to sign this petition it would be great. Maybe we can get enough signatures to get noticed and some of the crazy congresspeople to allow us to keep flying balsa and foam planes that pose no threat and have never cause problems in the past.
