Walked into this apartment and immediately noticed something that completely broke my brain.
At first I thought it was temporary construction piping.
Nope.
That’s a permanent drain line.
Mounted.
Bracketed.
Fully committed.
This thing runs:
• above the doorway
• across the living room wall
• around corners
• and disappears into another room like it belongs there 😂
Honestly?
The craftsmanship itself isn’t even terrible.
That’s what makes it FUNNIER.
Somebody clearly spent serious time planning this out and decided:
“Yeah this giant sewer pipe across the living room is the best possible solution.”
And to be fair…
maybe hiding it inside the wall wasn’t an option.
Older buildings can be brutal.
Concrete walls.
Structural limitations.
Impossible drain slopes.
Tiny budgets.
I get it.
But there’s still something absolutely hilarious about sitting on your couch watching TV underneath a 3-inch PVC drain line.
Imagine explaining this during a house tour.
“Oh that?”
“That’s just the living room sewer system.”
At least they strapped it neatly I guess 😂

Have you ever had to do an install that looked ridiculous but was technically the only option?
