Super excited to announce the launch of our project Hamlet 360: Thy Father's Spirit. It's been over a year in the making, and it could not have been done without our excellent partners at the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Google, Chronotope, and SilVR. More coverage to come! But check out this New York Times writeup first.

Pleased to annouce that all four episodes of The Interpretation of Dreams are up exclusively on #SamsungVR! Check out the attached trailer and start watching on the link below. Sensorium handled the cinematography and post production in this mesmorizing episodic VR series written and directed by Graham Sack. Also featuring original music composed by the talented Tim Fain and sound design by SilVR! Special thanks to Anna Ticktin and Tania Staykova for supporting this project with Samsung Pilot Season:
In 1899, Sigmund Freud published his magnum opus, The Interpretation of Dreams, which shocked the world and forever changed our understanding of dreams and the unconscious mind. This episodic narrative fiction series reimagines each of Freud’s original case studies — “the Ratman”, “Dora”, “Anna O”, “Irma’s Injection” — as visually luxurious, psychologically complex, and emotionally haunting immersive VR dreamscapes.

We are going live tonight!!! Check out our new promotional video for "objects in mirror AR closer than they appear" if you feel the need for an object meditation. Hope to see everyone there!!!
objects in mirror AR closer than they appear launches tonight at the New York Theatre Workshop!!! Get those tickets while they are hot:
It will be up from May 9-19. Come see this much-lauded-conceptual-theatrical-art-object-exploration-installation in the flesh! It will make you sing, dance, remember, forgot, and otherwise undermine your relationship to this silly material world. It’s even more fun to explore with a friend or two! Trying to stage a project like this in New York is a real experiment, so please also share with anyone you think might be interested. At the very least indulge yourself with this short object meditation.
Thanks to Alice Lloyd George for the excellent writeup of our project objects in mirror AR closer than they appear in Artsy! "The room serves as a meditation on the relationship between ourselves and our objects—how we arbitrarily categorize, imbue meaning, and, in some cases, discard them... Each participant explores the space at their leisure, sticking their heads inside lampshades and through car doors; discovering their own meaning; and creating their own individual experience." Tickets are on sale for the debut at New York Theatre Workshop (https://www.nytw.org/show/objectsinmirror/) from May 9-19. Spread the Sensorium good news!!!

Been great staying connected to the architecture/development community through the MIT Center for Advanced Urbanism these past few years. Sensorium once again did drone work in South America that is being highlighted in the Housing+ biennial exhibit that opens today at 5:30PM at the MIT Media Lab. We also edited all six of the videos in the installation. If you are in Boston, we are here for the next two days! Come stop by and check it out. Otherwise, it will be up through September 14 in the main foyer.
We are live at Tribeca Immersive as part of the #Storyscapes program. It's been a crazy run getting this together. Lots of love to all the people who brought this project alive!

Zikr: A Sufi Revival just got a great writeup with VICE. Excited to see this project grow, and looking forward to its next installation!
VICE just released an enlightening article delving into the creation of Zikr: A Sufi Revival. Features interviews with director Gabo Arora and executive producer Reza Aslan. It also embeds a great recap video of our premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Congrats to all of our production partners Sensorium, Superbright, Tomorrow Never Knows, BoomGen Studios, and 1001 MEDIA!!! Looking forward to bringing this interactive social experience and the performances of Association Sidi Bou Saïd de la Renaissance du Maalouf et du chant soufi to audiences around the world.
Amazing evening NeueHouse thanks to our excellent agents at Bernstein Andriulli. Great conversation about the future of experiential technologies!!!
Terms like 'immersive', 'experiential' and ‘interactive’ have become common phrases both in the board room as well as in our day to day. But with retail shifting, social media continuing to dominate, technology advancing and audiences expecting more, what is the future of experience and how will brands, consumers and artists move at the speed of progress? Tonight, B&A's (Bernstein Andriulli) Head of Experiential Alma Lacour is in conversation with Founder of Moving Image & Content's Quynh Mai, Translation Enterprises's Head of Experiential Katie Longmyer, and Matthew Neiderhauser and John Fitzgerald from Sensorium, around ‘engagement’ as the new measurement.
Zikr: A Sufi Revival is getting a shoutout from Newsweek and heralded as "the most transcendental experience this year" at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Super proud to be behind this project! Share the power of ritual! #zikrsufilove
As Hollywood drifts ever further from the edges toward the safer middle ground (preferably with a superhero on board), it’s good to know there’s a place that still champions full-on weird.
Excited to share the news! So proud of the Zikr: A Sufi Revival team.
HUGE NEWS!!! #SOLD Dogwoof (Blackfish, O.J.: Made in America, Weiner) Will Distribute [our] Sundance Film Festival New Frontier Documentary Zikr: A Sufi Revival
Up in Wired for Zikr: A Sufi Revival. Can’t wait to take this project around the world!!!
Great look at the current state of VR from Angela Watercutter after the Sundance Film Festival frenzy. Lots of exciting potential for our project moving forward: "Zikr: A Sufi Revival lets multiple users join together in VR to experience, and learn about, the mystical Islamic practice of Sufism. It’s a thought-provoking piece—and an interesting use of the format to help viewers grasp an often misunderstood religious sect..." We want to share ZIKR with the world!!! #zikrsufilove
Zikr: A Sufi Revival is still going strong at the Sundance Film Festival. Please come see our interactive social VR experience at the Kimball Art Center as part of the New Frontier program! Share the power of ritual. #zikrsufilove
3 days away from our Zikr: A Sufi Revival premiere at Sundance Film Festival! Could not be more thrilled to welcome BoomGen Studios and executive producers Reza Aslan and Mahyad Tousi to our ZIKR team. #zikrsufilove #thepowerofritual #sundance2018

How George Saunders’ Bestselling Novel ‘Lincoln in the Bardo’ Got Adapted for Virtual Reality

Snowblink - Feel Like a Man
The Virtual Reality video for the Snowblink song Feel Like a Man was made during the US presidential election week in Brooklyn with a crew of around 30 people, 90% of whom were women. It was a week of hate crimes and fear, where women had to stomach a misogynist taking his seat as the president elect. Many of the women on the set were heartbroken, afraid, angry. We came together with a common purpose and created a ritual - a surrealist futuristic virtual reality seance wherein twelve dancers undergo a deep transformation over the course of a dinner banquet. If you view the video in VR goggles as intended (and highly recommended!) you will be positioned at the center of a banquet table, surrounded by thirteen creative, powerful, vulnerable women, often encountering intense or compassionate eye contact, engulfed by music that encourages us to examine our own impulses towards violence, delivered in a voice that intends compassion, gentleness, and resolve.
I am very grateful to the director, Sam Fleischner of How Follows What, and the deeply committed team that he rallied. Thanks also to Outside Music for their support in making this seance into (virtual) reality.
Produced by Sascha Okshteyn and Jill Ferarro. Choreographed by Kathleen Dycaico, lighting by Caleb Seppala, styling by Alice Bertay, production design by Valentina Salerni and Betil Dagdelen, VR technicians Sensorium. String arrangements by Owen Pallett, produced by Dan Misha Goldman and Robbie Lackritz.
