Hello Dreamers!
As Dreamation 2024 passes and DEXLITE 2024 is on the horizon the Buddy System game runners want to update you on the timeline for our future game!
When submissions happen we will be putting in for a bigger room this time, which will mean bigger play areas and bigger ideas! Our slots will still be the same, so you'll want to presign up when it becomes available.
About a month before DEXLITE we intend to put out a player document about the world of Buddy System. It isn't required reading, because our mechanics will be switching things up from last year, however it will clear up some misconceptions about the game and its themes.

Here's a bunch of the crayon art made for Buddy System this past July! There's a lot of different people who contributed to the art wall, and I wanted to showcase all the different art that they made! Thank you to my volunteers and my players! More Buddy System stuff is to come!

Since we are officially one month out from Buddy System's premiere, let's talk details!
Buddy System will be hosted by DEXLITE 2023, in Morristown, NJ, at the Morristown Hyatt Regency on either Friday or Saturday, June 30th or July 1st!
DEXLITE Tickets are available here, and one day tickets available on site (as far as we know). https://tabletop.events/conventions/dexlite-2023/badgetypes
There is free parking available onsite and lots of fun games to play while you wait to come play Buddy System!
Buddy System will be a combat lite game, so it is recommended you bring these things:
A Boffer! (Foam melee weapon)
Spell Packets!
A Buddy (plush or stuffed toy!)
Comfy costume!
If you're missing any of these, we will provide extras you can use.
A follow up post will be made about character creation and Buddy System's lore! For now, get your plans together to come play!

CW: Scary Art/Descriptions of Violence
"Be like Kuchisake-Onna, Wear a Mask!"
I'm very proud of how this piece came out and I feel like I learned a lot from doing it. Every time I see warnings to wear masks because of I think of my favorite Japanese urban legend, that of the Slit-Mouthed woman or Kuchisake-Onna. She wears a mask and approaches you late at night, asking if she's pretty. If you agree she takes off her mask, revealing her mouth wound that stretches from ear to ear and asks "How about now?" If you scream or say no, she'll kill you with a sharp object like blades or scissors, if you say yes again, she'll make you look like her!
