2024 marked 10 years since Forgotten Artist Productions was created. Time has flown by. We thought about planning an event to highlight this milestone, but we were in the middle of pre-production and production on a feature film. Putting our energies into that was more important at the time. We've had the opportunity to create many film and theatre pieces over the last few years, so in an effort to commemorate the 10 year anniversary, we've decided to go back and highlight the various projects we've worked on. Over the next few weeks/months, we'll be going back and spotlighting many of these projects again. We've stayed so busy over the years moving from one project to the next, but we thought it would be nice to go back and give some attention to these projects again since so much time and energy from numerous people were put into them.

Today, we're highlighting the short film Eliminated. You'll find a link to the entire movie here. Feel free to check it out when you have some time, and if there's anything about it that strikes a cord, feel free to share it. After going back and watching many of our projects again, this one really struck a cord. It was made in 2016 but written as a play years before that. However, it feels even more relevant today because of the current social and political climate.

Eliminated Short Film:

A working class, married couple are coerced and locked in their own home by a soldier in order to be routinely questioned, but as they move through this strange and absurd circumstance, James and Mary are tricked into admitting guilt for living their daily routine, and as a result, it is the soldier’s job, duty, and responsibility to make sure that these blue collar workers are eliminated because of their class in life and as a result of new government laws. What price will be paid for attempting to live the American dream in the shadows of a corrupt power?

This production is written by Joe Queenan (columnist at THE WALL STREET JOURNAL and author of several books including RED LOBSTER, WHITE TRASH AND THE BLUE LAGOON), is directed by Michael Thomas Cain (writer and director of “Eliminated” and “Not Approved For Cancer Treatment”), presents an original score by Kinny Landrum (an Emmy nominated composer and arranger, having worked with David Lynch on Twin Peaks TV episodes, TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME, and WILD AT HEART), and features Sean Young (Rachael in BLADE RUNNER, Susan in NO WAY OUT, Chani in DUNE, and Kate in WALL STREET).

Forgotten Artist Productions Full-Service Production Company is a New York based production company, and we’ve worked with many repeat individuals and groups in the New York area for several years, but we’re willing to work anywhere. While located in New York, current technology allows us to connect and work with collaborators in various places on many aspects of the production process, but traveling to your location can be arranged in order to complete the work that’s needed.
