It's August 1st and you know what that means?!?! We say "see you later" (never good bye) to Atlas at Hold, Grey Areas, and 12th Gate on Monster's Wake Up Call. Now, that doesn't mean you won't hear from them on 96.9 The Monster. It just might not be EVERY day, like it was in July! We will proudly keep them in rotation!!!

Now, time for the Huge reveal! The entire month of August we have 3 new bands to highlight, that we think you need to WAKE UP and hear! So welcome to the Monster, Phantum Sun, TERAMAZE, and Lockjaw ! Listeners will hear these bands EVERY SINGLE DAY in August. Phantum Sun, Concrete Dreams will play between 4&5pm today (EST)...guaranteed you will love this grungy sound. Oh wow! This one should be juicy. Musical tastes all over the place, and some people have their "go to" songs, with that one line that really speaks to them.

I know the EXACT line, for me, that has a ton of memories from live concerts, to driving too fast...I'll share it in the comments.

Ugh...
It's freaking Monday and I am not wired to do this s**t today. Not ready to deal with people for a whole work week.

That brings up a good question? What type of concert goer are you? Do you prefer being down in the mix, the floor, the pit? Do you hang back toward the back, aka the lawn? Or are you a reserved seating, balcony, box seats kind of concert goer?

Imagine if today was packing day, as you get ready to get on the tour bus for a 1 week tour with ANY band. Last time taking a normal shower in your bathroom. Last time having a coffee in your house. Last time pooping on your throne. For 1 week, it's Planet Fitness and truck stops or Buccees...

It was a long week but we made it to Saturday without losing another icon. Just seems like yesterday that we were getting ready to watch the "Back to the Beginning" concert stream.

The first and last time I saw Ozzy was in 1992 on the No More Tours tour....with Alice In Chains and Motorhead. Hung around the parking lot for a long time after the show and Zakk Wylde came out and drank 5 of my 6 pack of Bud Dry...left me with one in the blink of an eye. Coolest dude I've ever drank Bud Dry with! He signed my jean shorts and jumped on the tour bus. Changed my life and was the moment I decided concerts were my jam.
