Christina Koch was selected for Artemis II, the first crewed mission to travel around the moon in over 50 years. Today, Christina has become the furthest a woman has ever travelled in space.... all the way around the moon!💪

For decades, women weren’t even part of the plan. Now they’re part of the mission.

This isn’t just history ... it’s a massive win for women everywhere. 🌙✨

HISTORY MADE: Astronaut Christina Koch, aboard Artemis II, officially becomes the farthest any woman has ever traveled from Earth.

9 April 2026 — A Powerful View of Earth from Deep Space

Humanity’s return to deep space has delivered a remarkable sight. During their lunar flyby, the crew of Artemis II captured a stunning Earthrise while traveling around the far side of the Moon—the first human-witnessed view of its kind in decades.

From aboard the Orion spacecraft, launched by the Space Launch System, the astronauts reached a distance of over 400,000 kilometers from Earth. From this vantage point, our planet appears bright and radiant against the darkness of space, its oceans, clouds, and atmospheric glow clearly visible.

One striking detail is the Earthshine effect—sunlight reflected from Earth that softly illuminates the Moon’s shadowed surface. From lunar distance, Earth shines at an incredible brightness of about magnitude −16, far brighter than a full Moon seen from Earth.

Beyond the science and spectacle, the view carries a deeper message: from the Moon, our planet appears as a single, fragile world—one shared home traveling together through the vastness of space.

BREAKING : NASA recently released a breathtaking image of Earth, as seen from Space. 🌍✨

Hello, Moon. It truly feels amazing to be back again.

After all this time, coming so close to you once more is something really special—not just for us, but for everyone watching from Earth. There’s something magical about seeing you from this perspective, something that words can barely capture.

During their journey around the Moon, the Artemis II astronauts had the incredible opportunity to witness and capture some breathtaking views. From the rugged surface to the quiet beauty of space surrounding it, every moment was worth remembering. Through their cameras, they’ve brought back glimpses of this unforgettable experience—moments that remind us how far we’ve come and how much more there is to explore.

Take a moment to check out more photos from the mission and see the Moon the way only a few humans ever have.

Out here… in the endless ocean of space 🌌
You start to hear things…

Not sounds
But feelings

Floating far beyond Earth 🌍…
Surrounded by nothing but stars ✨

It feels like the universe is trying to say something

The stars don’t rush ⭐
The planets don’t fight 🪐

Everything just… exists in perfect silence

And then you think about Earth again 💙

All the noise
All the chaos
All the things we worry about every day

From here… it all feels so small

So temporary

And maybe… that’s the message

Slow down
Breathe
Live

Because in this infinite universe…
You are just a moment

But that moment… matters ❤️

🌌✨

There comes a moment… in the vast silence of space 🌌
When you stop looking forward…
And you look back

Back at everything you’ve ever known

From the edge of the Moon 🌕, standing in the dust of a world that has never known life…
You turn around slowly

And there it is…

Earth 🌍💙

Hanging in the darkness… glowing softly like a fragile dream ✨

No borders
No wars
No noise

Just a small, beautiful world… floating अकेला in an endless universe

And suddenly… it hits you

Every laugh you’ve heard 😂
Every tear you’ve cried 😢
Every person you’ve loved ❤️

It’s all there

On that tiny blue planet

So far away…
Yet closer than ever

In that moment, you don’t feel like an explorer anymore 🚀

You feel human

And you realize…
We were never meant to escape Earth

We were meant to understand it 🌍✨

🚀

Silence… it’s louder than you think 🌌

From deep space, near the surface of the Moon 🌕, everything feels still… frozen in time
No sound. No हवा. Just endless gray stretching into darkness 🤍

And then… something unbelievable happens

Slowly… gently…
Earth begins to rise 🌍💙

A glowing blue light in the distance… alive, warm, breathing
A reminder that somewhere out there—people are laughing, loving, living ❤️

From here, it feels so small… yet it holds everything

Every memory
Every dream
Every heartbeat

In that one tiny blue dot ✨

And for a moment… you don’t feel far from home
You feel connected to it

A window into infinity… 🌌🪟
From deep space aboard the Orion spacecraft 🚀, a surreal moment unfolds before human eyes…

In the silence of the cosmos, the Moon drifts nearby 🌕
Its surface scarred, ancient, untouched for billions of years…
Every crater telling a story of time itself ⏳✨

And then… beyond it…
A miracle appears 🌍💙

Earth rises gently in the distance—alive, breathing, glowing with color and warmth ☁️🌊
A fragile blue haven floating in endless darkness… our only home ❤️

The contrast is overwhelming…
One world echoes silence 🤍
The other whispers life 💙

For a moment, you don’t just see space…
You feel it

You realize—
Everything we’ve ever loved, known, and dreamed of… is right there 🌍

And just ahead of us…
The next chapter waits 🌕🚀

Two worlds.
One destiny.
And humanity… caught beautifully in between ✨

🌍💙
