Did my handyman screw up?
I live in an old (1930) home. A few months ago I wanted to hang a very heavy framed mirror on my wall, so I called my handy man. The mirror had a wire on the back. He hung the mirror and it has looked great and stayed up. However, I recently had to adjust something so I took down the mirror and saw this…. I assume this shouldn’t look this way? Did my handyman screw up or is it just not possible to hang something that heavy on my walls? My handyman has since moved so I need to call someone else now anyways. Is there anything I should tell handy man #2?

What do you guys think caused this rot?
This lady was getting new bathroom tile put in. When the tile contractor starting ripping out the old tile, he noticed the subfloor was completely compromised. The home owner then called me to rip out and lay a new subfloor. Usually I would guess a failed shower curb or liner but the curb is wood and there are no signs of water damage. The shower job was done terribly so I wouldn’t doubt that may be the issue. Also, the subfloor is showing signs of mold growth on the underside but the wood is not wet to the touch. There is a crawl space underneath but it is inaccessible. Let me know what you guys think. My guess is either condensation on the v***r barrier from the insulation being installed the wrong way or the shower is compromised somewhere.

Please help
This is my boss work and he's telling me I'm getting paid too much and taking too long to reno a bathroom, I've torn all the walls out, hanged new sheetrock, durock, tiled the bath and grouted it, repainted the bathtub, installed new floor, mudded the walls 2 coats and a finish coat in just 5 days. meanwhile this took him 5 days, I was also the one that demo the kitchen and he decided to mud it instead of hanging, I'm about to hang (it's a joke but yeah) myself in here.. he said that it's ready for cabinets. (The windows will be replaced it's the mudding that bothers me)

Guitar mount with drywall anchors
Let me preface by saying please don’t judge me, I know this is pretty stupid lol.

I am mounting my guitars on the wall in my home office; I measured the length of the wall, divided it up, and made sure each guitar/mount would be evenly spaced along the wall. I mount the first one with no issues at all. Upon drilling the pilot holes for the drywall anchors of the second mount, I hit a stud. Bear in mind I do not own a stud finder…I guess it is probably best to get one now. However, now I have 2 holes (yes 2 because I thought somehow maybe drilling the second one I might get a different outcome) and I’m at a crossroads. The drywall anchors only go in about halfway until they hit the stud. I did NOT drill into the stud, although I am wondering if that is a possibility. The drill bit/holes are about a quarter inch in diameter.

Should I repair the drywall and install the mount with no drywall anchors, drilling the screws directly into the stud?

Can I drill further into the stud and utilize the drywall anchors or will this damage the stud?

I don’t have another idea, but if there is a better one please let me know.

How to bleed my radiator? (want to stop it hissing)
Hi! I am admittedly not much of a handyman yet, but I’m hoping to get there some day haha. I live in an old apartment building, and my bedroom has the radiator.

The issue is that it’s quite loud (lots of hissing and other noises), and that makes it difficult to sleep and focus on work. I looked online, and some people seem to think that bleeding a radiator can help with this problem. However, I’m not quite sure where the bleed value would be because I’m not seeing anything that looks like the bleed valves in the videos I watched.

Any advice on how to bleed my radiator or generally make it quieter would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

(Sorry for the pics aren’t great, the radiator is suck in a tight corner of the room, so it was hard to get my phone in at a good angle to take the pics)
