Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:13

Conviction is said to be a firmly held belief or opinion. It is the quality of showing that one is firmly convinced of what one believes or says. One the things the enemy is doing in these days is to shake the conviction of children of God, putting them in a place of self-doubt and uncertainty to the point of confusion, trauma, and disbelief even in one’s self. The wrong things have so pervaded the world and even crept in among Christians that doing and standing for the right things now seem so wrong that those who do them are beginning to doubt if they were right at all in the first place, if it was worth it, or if they even heard God right, to the extent they begin to disbelieve God, the things He reveals to them and doubt who they are.
The right conviction is birthed in the place of prayer, study and fellowship with God. Anything outside of that is comes from the flesh, little wonder genuine conviction and lading of the Spirit is scarce these days as people have little or no time to be with God.
Today, we will look at two examples of people who stood with their conviction despite the opposition they faced. The first was Daniel who stood his ground in the book of Daniel chapter 1, not to be defiled by the king’s meat. He stood for what he believed despite what was popular and in the end God honored him. The second is Rhoda in the book of Acts 12 who the bible says constantly affirmed what she saw and believed until the people changed their minds and aligned with her (Acts 12:12-16). Child of God, in these times, you must constantly affirm what God has spoken to you even if the world is against you. The devil will challenge your convictions from the most unbelievable quarters, but you alone knows what God revealed to you so stand! (Ephesians 6:13)
That is why the bible says there will be many surprises in heaven. Hold on to your convictions. People may be outwardly glowing but inwardly groaning. Spirituality is not on the surface. The bible calls them whited sepulchers. Beautiful on the outside, but inside is filed with dead men’s bones. I pray the Lord will give you the grace to keep standing on what He revealed to you regardless of who says otherwise in Jesus name!

𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘: In all you do, remember to stay with your convictions and don’t be moved by the outward show put up by men. Stay with what God showed you regardless of who opposes it or how difficult it is to stand on your conviction. It pays at the end.
𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥: Father, I thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask that by Your grace, You help me to keep standing on the things You have both spoken and revealed to me. I refuse to be moved by what is popular but to insist on what is scriptural. Thank You Lord for I know that by Your grace, despite the persecution, I will remain unmoved in Jesus name!
