Folks I was not aware that was making a live action Hunchback of Notre Dame Film (Soul of Paris) I may become the absolutely most INSUFFERABLE PERSON ON THE PLANET I need you to understand that the film was my dark antihero origin story when I saw it the summer I was nine which was also the same summer I saw Phantom of the Opera for the first time and I was like WHY IS FROLLO SNIFFING HER HAIR and Hellfire is literally one of the best bangers of the 90s and like I’ve listened to the novel ON CASSETTE TAPE I. THE CAR ON ROAD TRIPS THAT IS HOW OLD I AM. Thank you for listening to this public service announcement

I just saw Come From Away at ! This is one of my favorite shows and I loved coming back to DC to see it.
It’s a great production with DC favorites (cast Erin Weaver in everything)
Note you are not allowed to film the curtain call which was really unclear because other creators filmed it and they announced “no phones until the end” so keep that in mind so you doniỊt get unpleasantly hall monitored like I did.

It's hard to find a Phantom who convinces me that, despite the murders and the kidnapping, I'd follow the voice in the walls and pick him. I'm a Raoul girl. There are maybe five Phantoms I'd make an exception for, and Nick Cartell is one of them.

He was paired with Georgia Mendes, one of my favorite Christines anywhere and usually one of the fierier ones. She played it softer than I've seen her. His voice is one of the purest I've heard in the role. This was an Erik and Christine show. Raoul's on the floor, she has to be dragged out of the lair, and I've never been so mad that she had to go back with him.

Cartell is one of the Phantoms sharing the role at Masquerade now. The full review is on YouTube, and the Masquerade guide has the current cast and who's on at each pulse.

is the Immersive production of Phantom of the Opera and it takes my breath away every time. Since it opened last summer, I’ve seen it nearly 30 times (some of those were through a few discount options like lotto 666!)

HOW IT WORKS:
Did you know there are SIX phantoms, SIX Christines (who also play Meg in another show), Three Raouls (who then also play the show twice) and three Girys? And then the Managers, Carlotta, Piangi and the ensemble do the entire show six times? Not to mention a few other principal characters (“Boy in the Cage” “Barker”) who are new to this show. You join at a Pulse or a time slot that runs any 15 minute and stay with that time slot for the whole two hours, and then the show ends at the Lake Bar (although regulars call it the Lair Bar since it’s part of the Phantom’s Lair)

The show used to be 21+ although now it is 13+ with a guardian and 16+ without. There’s a strict dress code of black, white, or silver and you have to wear a mask although they will give you one if you don’t have one and it is mask friendly. The show has lots of stairs but there is an ADA route (which I have been on and not only do you not miss a thing, you get to see some extra special things)

Whether you love immersive theater, Phantom of the Opera, musicals, or just a really cool experience, I highly recommend checking out this unique experience. The Phantom May spirit you away into his lair himself. Check out my guide by commenting GUIDE for everything from dress code to ticket tips or go to Phantomguides.com (it’s free)

I turns out being (almost) 40 can be as fun and whimsical as you want it to be.
