South Korea has unveiled a self-healing road that repairs potholes and cracks using only sunlight. The road surface is made from an asphalt mix with nano-microcapsules that release a polymer-oil solution when heated by UV rays.
Cracks are automatically sealed within 45 minutes of sunlight exposure—even in winter conditions. Embedded sensors monitor damage, sending alerts or activating repairs autonomously.
Trials show a 60% cut in maintenance costs, and the tech is being tested on runways, military roads, and more. Experts believe this could end manual pothole repairs within five years.

A preliminary report on the Air India crash reveals confusion in the cockpit as engine fuel cutoff switches were almost simultaneously turned off, starving the engines shortly after takeoff, causing the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to lose power and crash, kill_ing 260 people.
