I never thought I’d write a book. But I did, because of my son. 💙
My son is non-verbal and on the autism spectrum. For years, I’d watch him use his iPad and YouTube with ease, always wondering how much he really understood. Then, last fall, we found out something that changed everything: he could read at a 4th to 5th grade level. We had no idea!
That discovery brought so many emotions, excitement, hope, and honestly, a little guilt. I’d spent so long wondering what he was thinking. Suddenly, I realized I could talk to him through words. So, I wrote him a book.
Through Your Eyes, My Son is my heart in pages. It’s filled with the love I have for him, the questions I’ve always wanted to ask, and the wonder I feel every day watching him move through the world.
I originally wrote it just for him to read on his iPad. But then I realized there might be other kids out there like him… and other parents like me, who may not yet know what their children are capable of.
So, I’m sharing it, with love, and a full heart. It’s now available on Amazon Kindle.
