Originally released solely as an eleven track cassette tape, Sharp Pinsโ€™ โ€˜Mod Mayday 23โ€™ showcases Chicago twee-pop wunderkind Kai Slaterโ€™s early work created on his Tascam Porta One four track tape recorder. Serving as a principal member of Lifeguard and Dwaal Troupe, Slater gives us a new look into the his solo creations from the summer of his eighteenth year, mixed and mastered himself. Itโ€™s the original Sharp Pins garagepopspew sound in all of its crustiness and yelping. Now his teenage dream is yours.

Snรตรตper is a high energy, experimental rock band and video art project based in Nashville, Tennessee. Their music style blends rapid-fire punk, new wave, and art-punk sensibilities geared toward fast-moving energy. The band was formed in 2020 by visual artist Blair Tramel and multi-instrumentalist Connor Cummins.

Though most well known for their hyperactive โ€œegg punkโ€ sound, DIY roots, and chaotic live shows, the group is also influenced by digital hardcore and enjoy experimenting with associated sounds within their video art projects. Signed to Jack Whiteโ€™s Third Man Records, the group has built a visual world around their music with their highly synchronized live show, themed outfits, and easily recognizable props and paper mache characters.
