🚨 BREAKING NEWS ‼️ Mystery of missing scientists deepens after body of Los Alamos nuclear lab worker found near g*n

The body of a missing nuclear lab worker has been found — alongside a gun — almost a year after she vanished without a trace, the latest in a string of disappearances and bizarre deaths involving experts and government employees working at some of the most secretive US national security facilities.

The remains of Melissa Casias, 54, who worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, were found in Carson National Forest over the weekend, some six miles from where she was last seen alive on June 26, 2025.

She was positively identified by New Mexico State Police on Monday.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS ‼️ Man gets life in prison for trying to kill Tampa police officers

A Tampa man was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of attempted murder of two Tampa police officers.

The State Attorney’s Office for the 13th Judicial Circuit announced that a jury found Matthew Fowler, 24, guilty of trying to shoot the officers while they investigated an unrelated case at the Azula North Apartments.

The officers spotted Fowler checking car doors and residential door handles, so they went up to him to find out what he was doing.

During Fowler’s trial, jurors watched body cam video, which is attached on this article, that showed Fowler pull a gun on the police, firing at them before running away. Officers returned fire, but no one was hurt in the shootout.

“Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every single day for our community,” State Attorney Suzy Lopez said. “When someone opens fire on these heroes, they attack all of us. This verdict means we can hold this defendant accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

After Fowler was convicted, a judge sentenced him to life in prison on both counts.

An Ohio woman allegedly broke into her ex-husband's home while he was sleeping and threatened to kill him before opening fire.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by Law&Crime, 31-year-old Amanda Heller broke into a man's home on April 26. The man was identified as Heller's ex-husband by local outlet WTOL.

After the victim woke up, Heller allegedly threatened to kill him before taking out a handgun and firing twice.

No injuries were reported in connection to the shooting, Law&Crime reported. Nobody else was in the home at the time of the incident, authorities reported.

Heller was arrested and charged with felonious assault, attempted aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, domestic violence, and improperly discharging a weapon at or into a habitation or school.

A California mother who claimed her baby son was snatched by a stranger in a parking lot has learned her fate after admitting she helped conceal the horrific abuse which led to his death.

Rebecca Haro was in tears as she was sentenced on Friday to 12 years and eight months in state prison after pleading guilty in connection with the death of her son, Emmanuel Haro.

Seven-month-old Emmanuel was reported missing by Haro in August 2025 who claimed he had been abducted outside a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa.

Haro told investigators she had been attacked and knocked unconscious while changing her son's diaper in the parking lot before coming around to find her baby gone.

She appeared on television making desperate public appeals for Emmanuel's safe return.

However, the authorities soon became suspicious and quickly learned that Emmanuel had suffered abuse at the hands of his father, Jake Haro.

Prosecutors said that Emmanuel, whose body has never been found, was already dead by the time he was reported missing and that Haro helped cover up her son's death.

Haro did not address the court during her sentencing hearing but wept openly.

Investigators say Rebecca later helped conceal Emmanuel Haro's death by participating in a false kidnapping story.
